I''m so sorry if this has already been addressed, but I did a search and couldn''t find it.

I find myself really liking the full bezel settings I have been seeing lately, but not sure if I could commit to one forever. If I were to get a bezel, and then wanted to reset the stone, would the bezel have damaged the stone in any way?

It makes me nervous that I wouldn''t be able to see the edges of the stone, and I would be afraid they would be chipped. Of course, I am no where near and expert. So I hope that yall canhelp me with this question!

Oh, and I should mention, the stone will be a diamond.

No it won't damage it if it's done correctly and usually actually is a protective factor for thin girdles. Just make sure you use a good jeweler, document that the stone has no chips in the girdle before setting it, and you'll be fine.

Go to a jeweler who can insure your stone or make sure that your stone is insured and then you are good to go. It is uncommon that a stone will get damaged, but it does happen occassionally with regular four prong styles during the setting process as well.

The bezel setting won''t damage the stone, but you should also be aware that you wouldn''t be able to reuse the bezel setting once you remove the stone.

Thanks very much guys! Or should I say ladies haha.
