Will another shape stone "fit" this setting?

Hi,

I have recently had a reset completed, and I love the profile of the "trellis" style ering (a lot of sentimentality as that''s the design my husband first chose) however I do not feel it is very complimentary to my diamond which faces up as a .75ct princess of good cut. So, I am tentatively looking around to see whether I can get a new diamond that would suit this setting and have a better effect. I am also wondering whether anything could be done to the band as I feel it''s a bit too square (I''ve always loved a rounded look but I was a bit limited working with princess cuts).

Can anyone tell me whether there''s another shape diamond that would fit into this setting, particularly if it''s a larger stone? When I had it reset one of the jewellers said I would be able to upgrade the stone later, but he wasn''t the one actually making the ring so I''m not certain he was giving me accurate advice. I have been looking at princess cuts around 1ct however I don''t really want to have two diamonds the same shape. My avatar is one profile of the ering, and I have attached another.

Thanks for your advice - I might just have to get a new setting altogether, but I like the idea of being able to find a suitable new diamond and then put the existing princess into a pendant

I am also looking for a multi shaped eternity band which I think softens the look a bit ...
