In these restricted times, I just wanted to share with you a few of the pictures from the WildlifeSOS India Founder's Trip I went on with my daughter early in January. The staff gave us all such a lovely time, as we heard about the work they did and saw first hand all the wonderful animals that were rescued and cared for at the sanctuary.

OoohShiny - yes I was concerned about dodgy stomach too. Fortunately Neither my daughter nor I suffered a single day's sickness. I did get a reaction in the form of hives from the strong inoculations one was advised to get before going.

Polabowla - The Taj Mahal is a beautiful building. From a distance the building looks white, smaller (an illusion assisted by the building's perfect symmetry) and like a picture or a painting rather than a building. Go up closer and you see different shades of white and cream. While I was looking at it I thought of the wonderful Gypsy (LaylaR) with her different shades of white paint that she used to explain the different shades of colour one sees in the different grades for diamonds. So in other words Pricescope and the different grades of diamond colour helped me appreciate the nuance of colour of the arguably most beautiful building in the world.

As one approaches the building relief sculptures can be seen and the inlay of semi-precious stones arranged in various designs.

Ironically the building of The Taj used the labor of many elephants for transporting the stone (the labor of elephants that is just what WildlifeSOS is attempting to win hearts and minds against!) employed many people that lasted for the whole of the duration of their working lives.

A few more photos for you:
