Okay, I am sore today! Haha, mostly from the tennis and bowling though. I played the wii fit for 30 mins last night and the first thing unlocked was the tightrope followed by another yoga pose (in case anyone is curious. Might be fun to update to motivate us all to use it!)

I need to look for the bowling, sounds like fun! I saw the yoga; I better try that so I can try the tightrope. I am lost in the cardio portion; I need to check out the other sections. The hula is fun! hehe I couldn''t catch one hula hoop with my head and move my hips, too funny!

Skippy, I think playing the ski jump unlocked the tight rope. The only one I did was 1 game of the soccer ball and 1 step class. I like the ski jump so most my time was spent on that. I am guessing that each section unlocks their own (but I could be wrong). Just noticed it when I did 2 yoga poses it unlocked a new yoga one.

Oh my gosh, that sounds fun, the ski jump and tight rope! Will check it out for sure!

I wonder if there is a way to make the mini sessions longer??? I noticed each activity seems like 3 mins?

Is bowling part of the WII fit package, or a seperate program?

I''m considering the WII fit for my parents because of the balance aspects, but one wouldn''t want anything too strenuous and the other has to avoid anything that would get the heart rate going for health reasons. Is there enough low-intensity stuff to keep it interesting with these constraints? My father likes to bowl, so the bowling feature would be a plus for him.

Thanks!

I didn't see the bowling on my Wii fit but then again I have only been doing it about 4 days. Maybe someone else will chime in????

Here is a mini demo about it http://www.nintendo.com/wiifit/launch/?ref=http://www.google.com/search?q=wii+fit&rls=com.microsoft:*:IE-SearchBox&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7SKPB

In the beginning of starting they go through your BMI and weight each time; you can skip it if you want. I thought the stuff in it is fun!
there are four sections

strength,
cardio
balance
yoga

No, bowling is part of the wii sport package (when you buy the console). It was bowling, tennis, boxing, golf and baseball.

Skippy and Tacori: thanks for the input!

I am so tempted to buy Wi and Wii Fit. Could someone please tell me who are the competitive-priced sellers online?

my girlfriend got one- and she doesnt like her Mii. or whatever it is called... she says it is mean because it is too fat. I know I wouldn''t like it if it told everyone how much I weighed and people say I''m tiny! (I''d like their perception not to be swayed!)

But it was kind of sad... I guess there is a weight limit because the wiifit told her brother to get off... he was too heavy.
A shame too because he is too embarassed to go out to a gym or even outside on a walk to workout... and she thought this would be an excellent motivator, as he is in his early twenties and well over 300 pounds... and the drs are worried about his health.

But I saw that you have already dropped 9 pounds... wow!

I have to admit that I''ve not been using mine but I''ve missed and can''t wait to get back on my plan.

I am rubbish at the snowboarding but love the ski jump and yoga.

Has anyone unlocked the Zen balance game yet? Its fab.

Okay my theory is wrong. I unlocked a "stretch training exercise" today but haven''t done any in that section so it must just be an order.

Po, I don''t even have the snowboarding. What is the zen one like?

I LOVE my Wii fit!!! I usually do about a half an hour or so after I do my actual workout. (There just isn''t a hard enough workout to really get my heart rate up...) The strength training exercises are no joke!! The plank... Ugh!!!

Oh gosh, I want to try the plank! Good for you Tuckins!

I LOVE my Wii Fit!!!! We got it a week ago today and I've already lost 4 lbs. Granted, I 've also gone to the gym a few times, but I give the Wii all the credit for making me go! Those graphs really help me keep to my goal.

I like how you can do the free step while watching tv. I set it for 30 minutes and lift my legs high when stepping to make the most of the 'light aerobics'.

Another huge lover of the Wii Fit here! My DH''s siblings got him the Wii system last year for his birthday and I got him the Wii Fit for Valentine''s Day. We have soo much fun on it and use it nearly every day. My faves are the yoga poses, hula hoop and ski jump. DH has done some of the strength training exercises and they are tough!

TLH - DH''s Mii is chubby too so I hope your GF doesn''t feel too bad about hers!
