Here is a stone that I modelled on DiamCalc that coul exist - with good H&A''s patterns and a crown angle below 30 degrees.

It also has an extremely thick girdle and a 41.55 pavilion angle and 59% table.

Interesting?

Garry,
please check file

For some reason the file didn't post. I am curious to see it when you get the pic up Garry.

A little unusuaal - but all the bits are there

Scores pretty well on light return on DiamCalc too - but the contrast is down a bit.

Wonder what it will look like in reality.

Gary we are finding shallower crown angles very interesting (though not as dramatic as this example), We have been having stones cut with crown angles in the mid to low 33’s and finding some very lively combinations within a narrow range of pavilion angles.

We human eye test them on a black background thus eliminating any light coming in from the pavilion side,

So what are we trying to do?

We are looking for stones that will still perform well with dirty pavilions as typically a month or so after setting.

Any Thoughts

It is a good study Johan - and one that we have in our que.
Sergey has promised me that he will throw his amazing mind at it

I am very interested in the findings of this study...as my stone is a very shallow make.

Kinda Kewl, Johan! Cut for daily wear so the diamond always looks great.
