width of band and tightness

Hey Guys

Does the width of the ring band affect how tight it will feel? For example, if I wear a 4mm band that is a size 6 should it feel the same on the finger as a 2.5mm band that is a size 6?

In my experience it will feel tighter.

If you are getting sized for a ring it''s a good idea to get sized with a ring with a similar shank width.

for me, I have a 4 mm on size 4, and I also have 2 mm and I wish I would have had the 2 mm sized down a bit maybe 1/4 little smaller. but if you were to stack it up,, say my 2mm x2 with another ring then I would keep it at my normal ring size 4.. does that make sense? so depends on if you are stacking it or not.

They will feel different. My 2mm engagement ring fits a little looser than my 2.5-3mm temp ring did but once I add my 2mm band to my e-ring it fits fine.
