all i see is that the JA one is just "ideal cut" and the WF one is H&A ACA. And maybe at that huge carat size, that difference in cut is enough to warrant the big price increase???
if you do a search on WF for non ACA stones in that range, they are about $64k but I cant see the certificates for those stones so I don't know what the cut is like, but they are rated 4 stars =/
Thanks! But is it really worth the huge price differences? ($15,704.00 with pricescope discount). Imagine what extra stuff(s) I can get with that... a rolex watch, cartier watch, a hermes purse, a chanel purse, plus more... By the way, I have a 3+ ACA...
wouldn''t be worth it to me... but to each their own I guess.
then again the most I''ve spent on a rock was $5000 (1.06ct AGS0 J SI1)... and that was a lot for "just a rock" considering it cost more than the car I drive on a daily basis (''96 BMW 318ti, purchased used for $3500).
My guess would be that it's mostly a matter of cut. While the JA stone has an acceptable crown/pavilion angle, it's not in the "premo" area, and it's not a H&A cut.
If you're seriously considering these, for this amount of money and the difference involved, I'd have them both sent to an independant appraiser and let them compare/pick the best one.
The JA one doesn''t look like it''d be a true H&A cut once all is said and done...only you can decide if that''s worth 15,000 to you, but that is probably the reason. The WF one is cut with a much greater eye toward precision.
