Some will make an informed decision to not participate in this election, and that is their right. But just a reminder of how desperately hard women worked so that we do have the right to vote. (Aside from the frightening idea of trusting Dancing Fire to do it for us

Women''s Vote

i have nothing against women voting.

Thank you for that, Swimmer. I had never seen it before.

We all know that! But would we, the females of PS want to trust ANY man to vote for us because the commonly held idea was that we were hysterical and unable to make intellectual decisions?

I watched an extremely mediocre movie about Alice Paul over the weekend and it still made me feel horrible about the fact that, while I will be voting this coming Tuesday, I will not be making a hanging chad next to the name of either presidential candidate, because I feel unrepresented. I continue to hope for some great revelation that will allow me the opportunity to select one of the two candidates, but that is highly unlikely.

I''ve read newspapers and books, I''ve watched the news, I''ve contemplated, I''ve forced my husband (a staunch Republican who, for the first time in his life, will be voting for a Democrat for president). It sucks being an idealist; at least that''s what my husband says is wrong with me.

I wouldn''t say "wrong". It does make things difficult sometimes though.

Heck, it wasn't until 1940 that women in Quebec got the right to vote even though the Canadian government had given women passed an act in 1918 allowing women to vote. Can you believe that women in Switzerland were not allowed to vote until 1973?! Not to mention that there are still countries where women are not allowed to vote. So I'm a big advocate towards voting, and especially for women.

Hang on a sec, I''m a bit confused. You don''t feel either of the candidates can represent you, but you have ''forced'' your husband to vote Democrat? Doesn''t that mean you feel strongly enough to vote Democrat yourself too?
