Thanks so much!! yeah, actually I am not comfortable with SI1. it is defintiely not easy to find the stone i am looking for. i think that''s why- in the end- we will go to tiffany''s. they have it there- AND they have the setting. i can tell a tiffany setting from a mile away- and when it somes to something this expensive, it has to be perfect, ya know?

IKnowQuinn, I understand entirely. Honestly, to disprove the whole Tiffany's is better theory, I went searching. If you are in a rush, this search for a stone that size, color and clarity WOULD be harder than just going to Tiffany's.

Even in my quick search of SB (who is pricey anyway) here is what I found under $30K

Just so you know, your diamond is approximately 10k more than a similar stone offered by one of the pricescope vendors. You will be paying approximately 40% more for the ring from Tiffany's.

BTW, some vendor here offer similar (if not better) renditions of Tiffany's settings. Also, please note that Tiffany does not create their own settings and are sourced by the very vendors offered on line.

IMHO, it's not worth it. I could think of many other things to do w/ the 10k - but that's just me.

I understand the Tiffany thing..i mean, when you walk in there, the stones are sooo beautiful! but, i have to agree with the majority here..you can buy just as nice of stones on the internet if not better than at tiffanys. But if you have your heart set on that blue box, then thats fine too. i never ever thought i would buy my ering online and was sure i would buy it in san francisco..but after doing all the research, we went with an online vendor..and i can tell you, the stone is fantastic! It blows most stones out of the water. Even some of my coworkers bought their erings online after seeing mine and doing their own research on the web. They are super happy as well with their purchase. The funny thing was, I felt even more at ease with my online purchase than i ever did at any B&M store. Just to second what others have said, there are two vendors i believe that carry settings that look very very similiar to the Tiffany setting..i think it is superbcert and niceice. My coworker bought the superbcert tiffany setting and it looked identical and custome made to fit the stone she bought.
So just something else to think about! have fun!
