Exfoliation, shampooing/rinsing/conditioning/rinsing, shaving, general scrubbing of all nooks and crannies=10 minutes flat. Then there is the post-shower moisturization, detangling, brushing of teeth, hair-drying, flat-ironing, makeup...another 25 minutes...add getting dressed (and on an ideal day you already have your outfit chosen)...another 5-10 minutes depending on how complex the outfit is. I''m usually ready in less than an hour. I don''t think that''s long at all!

Cause there''s alot to do in there. . . wash hair, condition, wash self, shave legs. . . it all takes time and effort. Just think - we have to do this routine every day!
I envy my husband - in, out, shave and comb his hair. No mousse, no hairdryer, no curling iron, no makeup - NO FAIR!!
Yeah, he''d look as strange as I do without! It just ain''t fair though. . .Date: 12/15/2009 7:43:03 PM

My DH takes 1/2 hr in the shower. Me 10 minutes.
Haha! You''re right, it doesn''t seem fair, but I look at it this way: at least I don''t have to spend five days a week with a noose around my neck (ties)!Date: 12/15/2009 7:58:51 PM

DF--I think sometimes women also take way longer in the shower because IT''S THE ONLY TIME OF DAY TO GET AWAY FROM CERTAIN PEOPLE THEY LIVE WITH!

I LOVE taking steamy hot showers. I''m usually big on conserving energy and water, but sometimes I just need to stand under that hot water for a long time.
I should have just dittoed your last post, OU!Date: 12/15/2009 10:35:07 PM

...because DH is in there with me. You should try it Dancing Fire (well not with me, but you know I mean) - maybe you won''t complain about the 30-minutes.

I really do think that the ability to stand in a steamy hot shower is one of the best luxuries (and privileges) in life. Hmmm . . . now I want to go take another shower.
