Why do these rubies look so different?

I am looking for a small ruby from Myanmar/Burma (4mm-5mm) for under $250. Gem Select seems to have a nice variety of Burma rubies in my price range. I've looked at countless ruby rings on PS and I know that I want a lighter pinkish ruby. What I can't understand is why some of the rubies seem to have light inside them (please see the first link for an example). Is that a good thing? Or should the ruby have a more consistent tone like the second link? Thanks in advance for any comments!

it seems the .41 is more transparent
Than the .49
