I don''t get it, aren''t they supposed to be "desire-less" after neutering?

I dunno... our boy spends an awful lot of time canoodling with the ex-stray! they cuddle and lick and share food and cuddle and play and fight and cuddle and... hmm

I don''t know why, but it did happen to my male cat once. It only happened one year that I''m aware of... and it was several years after he''d been neutered. He was very close to the much older female cat I had at the same time... she used to groom him like a mother cat would groom one of her kittens, and every night the two of them would end up sleeping all cuddled together. That year, however, he started taking a whole different type of interest in her. The thing is -- cougar jokes notwithstanding -- if you''re dealing with a young male and an much older female, this isn''t necessarily a good thing for the female. Something to keep in mind if you''re dealing with a similar situation.

Some animals just like humping! I''ve known neutered dogs and bunnies who still hump. Also, bunnies do it to show dominance (not sure if cats do this as well) so it''s not unusual to see the dominant member of a bonded pair (whether male or female) humping the other one occasionally - it''s not sexual though, just a social behavior.

My neutered dog has a "love" toy. When he was a puppy, we bought him a fleece covered dinosaur by some Vermont crafts company. Charlie takes it out of the toy bin, orients it in the correct "position," and humps that poor dino like a cheap ho. It is quite the sight

Hehehe. My friends have a humpy one year old dog. They just brought home a new puppy and as we watched, the older dog got a pillow and humped it, then the puppy took the same pillow and tried to hump it the same way! Apparently humping can be taught

My nuetered dog molests his bed daily. So much so that we actually asked the vet if the surgery was done. We got him at a year old and they said he was nuetered but there are days that we doubt it!

From the human standpoint...I read that eunychs in harems usually bought young girls and "loved" them - I don''t know the technicalities but it was happening! I guess it is in the nature.
