Who''s in Boston? Gotta a question about this week''s weather.

I''m supposed to be in Boston on Friday. It''s just a day trip. I''m flying from La Guardia up on the shuttle. I have to catch the shuttle back to La Guardia mid day on Friday so I can catch my return flight home out of La Guardia (how I loathe trips within trips, but that is a different story). I keep looking at the weather up the east coast this week and it isn''t looking so fabulous. My big question is what''s it supposed to do in Boston on Friday and most importantly of all, am I gonna get stuck?!?! Because I really, really don''t want to get stuck. It''s too far to hop in a rental car and drive home.

It''s supposed to snow tomorrow into Thursday. But snow isn''t as big a deal here. They will be out salting, sanding and plowing the roads extremely quickly. I seriously doubt you will get stuck, things don''t shut down here because we''re equipped to deal with lots of snow. I flew into Boston from Florida last year when it was snowing and we were delayed maybe 30 minutes while they plowed the runway.

You just made my day. They predict snow in ATL and Delta goes ahead and cancels flights. It''s awesome.

Yeah, it''s funny. I just moved back to Boston after living in Virginia for 3 years. The South does not know how to cope with snow. My best friend lives near DC and the whole town has been shut down for days. People can''t drive in it, roads are a mess.

But when we had a blizzard here in December, my husband was on his way to work that same afternoon because they are ready to get the roads clear. Things stay open, people know how to drive in the snow. I think you will definitely be ok.

By Friday, you should be fine. It really depends on how many flights are cancelled/rescheduled from Thursday, but from what I''m hearing up here, the snow will be finished by Thursday.

Gosh, I need a vacation away from this weather...somewhere warrrrrm.

It is now only going to snow 8-10ish inches on W...as a high school student said with a sigh "8inches, we won''t even get a snow day out of that!" By Friday it won''t impact traffic at all. Now panic in other cities slows down Logan all the time, and general ineptitude with scheduling and such is always a problem here, but snow? That one we can handle.
