Aurora gem collection has a fantastic and huge collection of naturally colored diamonds of almost every imaginable color.
Who paid for them?
Is this a charity?
Are they financed by the colored diamond industry to educate, which of course helps create demand for natural colored diamonds?

Amazing.

But who paid for it?
Alan Bronstein?

Hi Kenny-

The Aurora collection was put together by Alan Bronstien and Harry Rodman as their private collection over many years. Mr. Bronstien is known as one of the top experts of colored diamonds in the world, and I believe his company owns the collection. You should get a copy of Collecting and Classifying Coloured Diamonds, by Stephen Hofer

The book is an illustrated study of the collection.

Thank you, actually yes I bought that book recently.

I got an excellent used copy for $100 below retail on Amazon.

I''m slogging through it but it will take a long time; what a comprehensive work!

It is a massive book, probably 20 pounds.
I am amazed someone had the resources to acquire this collection.
Naturally colored diamonds are soooooooo expensive.

I cannot even imagine what it cost to assemble the Aurora collection.

Langerman is selling this 1.66 carat Fancy Intense Green for a jaw-dropping $1.875 million.
You can find the price by adding it to your cart, but just don't proceed to check out.

They didn't even have GIA grade the clarity.
You can bet your sweet bippy they would have if it was SI2 or above.
Imagine the price if the color was was Vivid and the clarity was IF.
