Hi, Everyone,

I thought I would start a thread for educational purposes where we can share Art Deco pieces with colored stones and their fabulous designs. It is really a passion of mine aesthetically, but I still want to learn so much more about styles, history, etc.

So, I will kick this thread off by sharing my piece and hope that people will share theirs too, so we can appreciate these beauties! Please list what you know of the diamonds/gemstone and what decade/year.

Last year for my birthday I bought an Art Deco sapphire setting that I adore and was just able to place an OEC in it yesterday. The sapphires are natural and I believe it’s from the 20s or 30s. The OEC is a 1.17 J SI 2. I am not sure what the type of setting is called and would love to know!

Please share too! The more, the merrier!!!

@Tigerlilyrosepetal --Your ring is beautiful!!

This is an 18k ring I found at a gem/mineral show.
The middle sapphire is natural, but the sides I believe are synthetic, as was usual at that time.
I just love the crisp carving.

I love that ring! The sapphire is amazing. I’d love to have a large center sapphire someday.

Gorgeous ring you have there. The OEC looks right at home- like she always belonged with the setting. You are also very fortunate to have natural sapphires in the setting. Many pieces during that time frame used created sapphires. Here are mine in a group shot. The one on my ring finger is super heavy and was from my grandmother.

I love your grandmother’s ring!!! You have a gorgeous collection. Speaking of natural/synthetic sapphires, I am at the jewelers as we speak. One of my sapphires was damaged yesterday after he put
The new diamond in! They are apparently brittle and old and the jeweler used some high powered super sonic machines on it. I take obsessive pictures close up, thankfully, and noticed that part of
The sapphire was missing! I chose to just have it repaired with a resin. Hope I’m making the right choice.

Pretty ring. I have something kind of similar, but different. Which I realize makes no sense.

I would personally call your ring either a dome ring or a bombe ring.

I'm don't know from which era my ring is, single cut diamonds with a sapphire? No hallmarks anymore but i think it's platinum.

I think these are from that era. My ER is for sure. Of the bands, the top one is very modern, I just had it made but the others are much more of the era. I also have a load of eternities that were sold as art deco era but who knows.

Thank you! They actually came from all over. The Sapphire and Emerald were bought from 2 different sellers in Australia via IG @gems4eva and @lovevintagejools, I had been stalking the emerald for awhile as it was her personal collection. The ruby fell into my lap from an estate sale vendor who happened to post on IG. You can search for Beverlyhillsestatesales on IG. Ruby Lane, or his website-if you like something ask him for his best price if you buy direct via his website (I saved $400ish). He usually doesn't post much, so I now stalk his site.

I have had much luck with eternities from Lancasterian jewels in the UK (and on IG) as she stocks larger sizes. I always buy up at least a half a size in eternities. The ruby is from her.

The eternity above it is also technically art deco and came from Bkuemoonbits on IG and the baguette and round stunner was personal collection from Kalee at Sholdt! She admitted it would be hard to recreate.

Of course, I wouldn't have any of these if it weren't for PS setting me off to find great vendors and helping me avoid lemons. I'm just paying it forward.

Your collection is gorgeous (your avatar) I total covet a solitaire to stack like you are able to. I currently have real estate issues.
