Looks like fun.
Maybe I'll get one.
But I'd worry that shifting my center of mass (rather, center of @ss?) might prevent the seatbelt and airbag from working properly.
And I doubt my driver's seat can slide that far back.

I remember as a kids asking mom whether people with big butts just have to go to the bathroom really bad.

I just crack me up.

As long as you don't want my derrière...

LOL Kim N.

nope
i dont get this at all

These days I don't "get" the vast majority of what I'll call pop culture.
I feel like I'm living in a foreign country, or a foriegn time.

I just posted this one because I find it hilarious that they're selling a silicone butt thing you wear so you can look like Kim Kardashian.

Ya know, I wouldn’t mind a little Kim
K butt. I have always thought that I’m a little too heavy…..maybe a little
Junk in the trunk would not be a bad thing!

Are we body-shaming now? Ugh

Meant to say a little top heavy haha.

Do men really like such butts?

Do men really like such butts?
Men vary and apparently some must.
There's even a song about such butts on Youtube, with 42.6 million views.
Graphic as it is, I'm surprised it is NOT in the adult-only section.
My my my, what's the world coming to?

I guess people are just attracted to whatever they're attracted to.

IMO between consenting adults it's nobody's beeswax.
But I have to assume there would be some disappointment the moment the, uhm, fake news - below or above the belt, male or female, (like the above product) is discovered.

Haha Kim N , when I saw the title of this thread at first glance I assumed it was about you Until I read it properly…

Are we womanplaining or humor-shaming now? Ugh

Kenny, I am particularly sensitive right now about feminism and women’s rights and equality for several reasons. First, our reproductive rights are being and have been rescinded. Second, Kim K has done serious damage (along with other members of her family) to a couple generations now with her refusal to admit she had surgeries to enhance her derrière among other things. It’s a serious issue. Third, I just found out 2 days ago that I’m being paid 25% less than my male coworkers who do the same job as me. In 2022.

So if I came across as womansplaining or humorless that’s why.

I'm sorry things are going so poorly for you right now. :((
I certainly can relate.

Thanks. My life in general is great. The constant undercurrent of sexism and shitty behavior by men has been an issue and that definitely colors my worldview much of the time. I’m sorry for all of us affected by the patriarchy and I wish things were different. I asked my mother tonight what she would do about my unequal pay situation and she said she wouldn’t say anything for fear that I’d lose my job. :( WHAT YEAR IS THIS

Exactly. I agree 100% with you.

I am furious and also exasperated, exhausted and emotionally drained with how long we have been dealing with this cra* and undercurrent of sexism, misogyny and gaslighting. It's NOT OK. We have future generations of young women we owe it to in order to make this right. Enough is enough.

Lots of black women (myself included) have kims butt and bigger. Naturally I might add.

I resigned from my position this morning. You should’ve seen the way the man who interviewed and ultimately extended the offer to me reacted. He was very emotional and angry that I dared to say that I wasn’t being fairly compensated, and he started basically shrieking about employees not talking to each other about their pay. It’s illegal for a company to make it policy that their employees cannot discuss pay. He clearly even with ALL his 40+ years of experience, isn’t aware of that. He said this is just how things are in the world. I said no they’re not, not in MY world nor my daughter’s world.

The freaking audacity.

Good for you Monnie. I’m so sorry it came to this but in my mind you did the right thing. They don’t deserve you and you will find a better job. Of that I’m sure. Sending you so many well wishes and bucketloads of good luck job dust.

You stood up for your rights. If we all do that we would squash this inequality and make a better world for our children.

Thanks, @missy . I’m really disappointed with how things turned out. I am fortunate that THEY sought me out and I have other streams of income so it wasn’t like I was hurting for work. But many many women do not have the option to just walk away. I thought long and hard about getting an employment lawyer on retainer; I probably could’ve ended up buying out the owner when all was said and done, but I really don’t need the hassle at this time in my life. What really grinds my gears is that the owner (not the guy who flew into a tizzy today but the one who signs my paychecks so is fully aware of what all of us were making) opened the business in 1973, a historic year for women who could finally legally open their own bank accounts without a man’s permission. 49 years he’s had to figure out the concept of women being equal. SMH.

Hi,

I hope they call you back. They might. Negotiate please. The fact you have a cushion to live on is good. bit try to keep your cushion intact

You could call the National Labor Relations board to find out if you can get back pay. You don't need a lawyer. I have gone twice over bonus pay and vacation pay. I won twice.

Sorry it came to this. I think you should have let them fire you or pay up. I think then you have recourse.

Annette

I also think black men like Kims rear.

@monarch64 . I’m really sorry about your work situation. Would you feel comfortable starting a new thread? There is so much to unpack here and would make for an interesting thread. Honestly I feel women are also to blame for things being the way they still currently are.

@smitcompton , You and I are thinking the same way. If they let her go they would have had to pay her unemployment.

Thanks for your input, Annette! This has happened before at the same place, 10 years ago. That time they simply bumped me up to what my male coworker was making and that was that. This time it just looks like a shady business practice and I don’t want to work (and travel with) these guys, again as the only woman. I don’t know what they would’ve terminated me for, the first day I came back I resolved a bunch of their IT/tech issues, then immediately increased sales by exercising my social media expertise, and finally caught up on everything that had been neglected by the person formerly in my position in less than 40 hours. I know my value and I don’t think they deserve me. I ran circles around them (always did) and I think that’s threatening. I’m better on my own and to not have been treated equally as far as pay was stupid on their part. They can call me and make significant changes or they can go find a person with far less to contribute. Not my business, not my problem.

I checked out the National Labor Relations Board already but haven’t contacted them. I’m waiting to see how this plays out. Thanks again.

Yes, I’ll start a new thread.

No thank you, I would not want to look fake and un-natural, she has had work and everyone knows it. Why deny it. SMH1663084289838.png
