Who wants to have Kim's derrière?

Its what on trend now. When I was a teen/young woman in the 90s it was "heroine chic"/Kate Moss look. We wanted to know if our jeans made a butt look too big and needed to change. Now it's all about the behind, the bigger the better. I've heard this surgery is the most popular to have done now, at least in some regions. I can only imagine the dysmorphia that is caused by wearing this padding and then taking it off at night. That would just feed negative emotions about the natural body shape.

No thank you, I would not want to look fake and un-natural, she has had work and everyone knows it. Why deny it. SMH1663084289838.png

Wow. I don't think I'd ever seen a before picture.

Natural is one thing. But I wonder what happens if all that works starts to shift out of place.

What makes me frustrated is that she and others don't acknowledge the work they have done. People vary. Make your body how you want it if that is your thing, but leaving girls with the impression that huge amounts of plastic surgery is natural and the "right" look is unhealthy. Let them know that bodies vary!

Yup, this is my issue with it as well. I have zero problem with body modification—do what makes you happy. But acting like it’s just natural…majorly disappointing coming from people SELLING cosmetics and shapewear. They are con artists in my opinion. I have so little respect for the Kardashians for so many reasons but this is a big one.

I think they know but they still strive for perfection. Hopefully maturity and time helps ease it, but not always. I can think of many celebrities well in their 60s and 70s that have destroyed their looks with surgery over the years. Had nature just proceeded as planned they would still be strikingly beautiful. But they had to mess with it.

As a side note my 20 year old daughter is quite beautiful (not just her Momma's opinion) and she complains to me about her toes. TOES. I have told her she is as if God gave me a check list and I got everything I ordered except those. Get over it! But she's young now. One day she will see how ridiculous she is with this.

Ummm, that’s likely due to the trend of selling pics of fe*t online now. It’s become a whole thing even though it’s been a common fet!sh forever. Don’t ask me how I know. Not saying your daughter is involved (not that it would be a prob if she was) but it’s become so prevalent and out there now that people joke about it on social media all the time).

Dang, here I was thinking I set her up in life by her being smart, healthy, and graduating from college debt free, but then her paternal grandmother's ugly foot genes crept in!

In all seriousness though, I really had no idea this is a thing. I'm gonna ask her.

Kim is VERY thin spo right now. Wow… her clavicle and arms are the stuff many young girls aspire to and she is 40. I’m personally triggered, tbh. It is hard to look at her and then look in the mirror and think I look good. This is my issue, of course, I just wanted to post and share.

Take it easy on yourself.
I just want to let everyone know they use makeup to help “tone” muscles and bring out bone structure. I used to model, even the thinnest models get that treatment. Even after modeling and experiencing this I forget and have to remind myself.

This isn't the first time you've commented on Kim Kardashian's hips/bottom. It's curious to me that it's something you feel the need to publicly try to shame on multiple occasions. If you don't like it - don't look.

Thank you. I was once very thin and didn’t think I was thin enough. Back then I was poring over Vogue and Seventeen and Cosmopolitan magazines before I went to college and got into WWD, DNR, etc. Amid all that, the internet happened and tspo was everywhere (as it’s always been). Recipe for EDs. Tspo looked like Kim looks in these pics. Her derrière may seem large, but her clavicle and arms are major signals to the pro Ana and Mia communities and if you know you know. I don’t want to spell it out here so Ella doesn’t have to mod/edit.

@monarch64 , I agree, this picture is alarming. Hopefully Kim’s weight is lower now because of recent events in her life, the divorce and the recent break up. Eating disorders are a slippery slope. The sad thing is Kim is probably getting compliments about how wonderful she looks. Our society values being thin in a very twisted way. Eating disorders and Exercise Bulimia are serious issues.

This is another topic you brought up that is a great discussion point @monarch64. This topic deeply affects how young girls and women view themselves.

@monarch64 have I broken a rule with this post? if so I will take it down. i wrote a limger post by was concerned I may be breaking a rule.

I don't pay much attention to this lady.
She's pretty, I'll give her that.
I never saw her TV show.
Maybe because I'm *old*

But I do know that in the late 70s and early 80s, being thin and pretty was all we lived for.
The magazines were our inspiration. As a short brunette with brown eyes, it was just a pipe dream. But we tried so hard to be like Kim Alexis!
The tall blonde and blue eyed models portrayed an unattainable look that I'd never have.
I'm glad that all-sized women seem to be more visible in advertising these days.

I don’t think you broke any rules, certainly none that I’m aware of.

Eating disorders are a lifelong struggle. They are very much fueled by what we view on a daily basis. I guess that’s all I will say for now.

You wrote, "If you don't like it - don't look."
But if I don't look, how will I know whether I like it?

My intent is not to shame.

My intent is to publicly share humor from a creative person making and selling silicone duplicates of a celebrity's fake butt .
It's hilarious.
LIke, what's the world coming to?

If you don't find it funny - don't laugh.
