Hi everyone,
I have few quick questions, but I don''t know if this is the right forum to post this in...
I recently had my white gold ering reset in platinum with new side stones. Because the setting was done out of state, I cannot go back to that jeweler for a repolish.

Who should I trust to repolish a platinum ring?
What can go wrong if I chose the wrong jeweler?
About how much can I expect to be charged?

Thanks in advance for any input!

Well, I don''t know what can go wrong but the other day I walked into a jewelry store and I was looking around and they just polished it for me; it was free so I don''t know how much they normally charge. It only took a few minutes maybe others will chime in.

Thanks for the input Skippy ...
It would be so great if I could just pop in somewhere and get them polished free of charge.
I can''t imagine what could really go wrong, but I''m no expert.
But then watch me be the one to let someone polish my rings for free and end up with some weird mis-shapen rings!!!!

I had my ring done not locally as well and to do any quick check ups or repolishing I picked a Local Jeweler from under the Resources tab of Pricescope:
https://www.pricescope.com/jewelers.aspx

I had good luck with finding a local jeweler this way, but I am uncertain of how this list is compiled and if anyone else tried this.

Good luck!

Thanks Angel,
I just checked that link, and unfortunately, there isn''t any thing even remotely close to me.
SO... I guess I will just find any jeweler, but this is why I''m nervous... also why I want to go in knowing a little more about polishing...

Any other input on price and risk/things to look out for etc?
THANKS!!

Platinum is pretty hard so they just polished enought to make it shiny. I am still hoping someone will have the answer for you.

Thanks Skippy ... I hope so to.
I just don''t want to go into a jeweler and assume it will be a free service to polish and end up paying a ton!
I have 3 rings to polish.
