(It's a soy dog with all the Chicago-style fixin's including a steamed bun.) They use Smart Dog brand veggie dogs, which are ok but I like the Yves brand much better.![]()

No. I have to make mine at home b/c all the commercial ones can't do it right plus they use cheap weiners. And sponge-bread cheap crappy buns, too. LOLDancing Fire|1363101362|3402878 said:do you have a favorite (store bought) brand of hot dogs? what do you put on your hot dogs?

I hear they have some good hot dog options at the ball park, but I rarely make it to the ball game and haven't had a chance to try them yet. Plus I rather suspect their dogs aren't grilled, which is the only way to prepare hot dogs IMHO.
But all is not lost... Berkeley and TOP DOG are a just down the road. OK, so I haven't actually made the two hour trip just to go to Top Dog, but it's on the to-do list every time I do make it to Berkeley!

What goes on mine is the West Virginia recipe:
Ballpark all-beef hog dog, grilled
ketchup, mustard
a bit-nippy hot dog chili sauce
chopped or diced onions
top it off with a sweet coleslaw, not too soupy
Try it. Y'all will like it.
nope,a healthy hot dog doesn't count...monarch64|1363150462|3403631 said:There's a great local place called Naughty Dogs but I've only ever tried their Chicago style veggie dog.
