Who makes good custom art-deco style settings?

I'm looking for any recommendations you have for who to go to for a custom art-deco style reset for a modest size stone (.78 carats). I'm envisioning a delicate art-deco inspired bezel solitaire in platinum, thought I'm also considering rose gold, or a combination. I want something fairly simple but with a slight flair (I've been envisioning a hexagonal bezel lately). My budget is ($3,000-$3,500). I adore Sarah Waterman's work (way out of price range) and I have looked at Single stone online and love many of their bands but don't know if they are out of my price range ($2,500-$3,500). Fay Cullen told me they don't do custom work. Caleb Meyer is fairly local for me, and I do like some of his bezel work, but as an artist, I don't know if he would be willing to vere too far from his own designs. Is there anyone else you can recommend?

Maytal Hannah, Victor Canara, and not custom, but Beverley K has a ton of deco settings and will do modifications so you can opt for rose gold or other small changes if you find a setting that is close....

Beverley K has some gorgeous settings, but their website doesn't have all the styles. Check out Greenwich Jeweler, they have some fantastic settings: http://www.greenwichjewelers.com/store/designers/beverley-k/1/viewall All the Beverley K settings allow some modifications, too. You can shop around for pricing- GOG carries their line and their pricing is better than Greenwich. You can also try eBay for settings. I ended up getting one that's arriving this week and hopefully it'll work out.

I could have written this post myself!!

I am looking to reset my owm RB and specifically want a deco setting with a bezel mirroring an asscher, because I am in love with Gypsy's halo as well as LilMisfit and Lauren the Partier's bezels.

Gypsy inspired me tremendously with all the inspirations pics on her reset thread.

So far I have spoken with Jewels By Erica Grace, who are just the most fabulous vendors. I was interested in the Julia Bezel but decided round was not for me. Erica has told me that in the coming months there will be a few deco inspired settings being released. So that might help.

In the meantime I am speaking with the equally fabulous Jamie at Brian Gavin Diamonds who is getting a quote ready for me this week. It will be very much inspired by LilMisfit's bezel, which I am obsessed with!!

Good luck, I would love to know what you decide on!

I fell in love with your reset and kept pondering if it could be done with my RB. I have also asked for baguette sides. I will be back hopefully this week with an update!!

I know. I was so tempted to buy it for my new OEC. But ultimately my custom setting is going to be a better fit for the look I want.

It might be too big for the op's stone though. But if they stone isn't bought yet, maybe the 2K saved could go to a larger center.

Thank you so much ladies! I'll definately contact these venders once I have a clearer picture of what I want. I think my problem is the more I look at rings and on this site, the more different deco styles I see and love. I start to get confused! One day I want a plain bezel, the next I see a gorgeous pave bezel and change my mind! This ring will also be worn alone on my right hand so I have to consider this too. I'm glad to hear singlestone may be in reach.... I adore their work! Thank you again!
