SunnyD, I always enjoy your posts and I''m looking forward to a PacNW gtg at some point! Will you share more of your story with us?

LP! I''m so flattered, thanks for starting this!
5.gif
I''ve been MIA on vacation to the homeland (Montreal) since last week and came home to a constipated kitty
7.gif
but I''ll be back with all the juicy details......

To Be Continued......

Oh no, poor kitty! I hope everything gets sorted soon--poor thing!

PS: I *LOVE* Montreal and Québec in general. I''ve spent a number of New Year''s Eves up in Mont Tremblant and simply adore it.

Hope your kitty is ok. Try some cod liver oil (just a small amount) in his food and it should get everything moving again

He''ll be okay! Mommy has the situation under control! LOL...

Hmmm so I should start from the beginning, oui? Well, my name is Meagan and I was born June 18, 1984 in Toronto to Pat and Mardi. Just had my 24th ''birfday'', so I consider myself officially in the mid-twenties. Yikes!

Ummm, well, when I was 1 my family moved to Montreal. Then 8 years later we moved back to Toronto, then finally out to Seattle a year later, which I LOVE!
30.gif
Seriously, take a vacation there. Everyone loves it. It might not even rain! Ha... my dad job moved us a lot. Luckily, we were always near family. My mom''s was in Toronto, my dad''s in Montreal. Until we moved out here, when we were all alone.
8.gif
In fact, the vacation I just returned from was for my grandparents'' 50th wedding anniversary/grandpa''s 80th birthday/family reunion. It was the first time in 15 years the whole family had been together!!!
6.gif
BF (Chris) and I also used the opportunity to visit his family, which is scattered throughout Montreal and Ottawa. Coinkidink that we both grew up in the same area? Um, yeah. But I''ll get to that later...

A very important thing to know about me is that I''m a dancer. Not of the exotic variety, thankyouverymuch, which is what everyone thinks when I say that.
20.gif
9.gif
Not pro, but it''s something that''s very near and dear to me. I started at 5 and continued until last year when I graduated college and just didn''t have the time or money to take classes. So sad, but my mom offered to sponser me next year so I''ll be back! Yay! I have a bunch of pics of good costumes. LOL, my studio was not a competition studio by any means, so we had some good ones not from a catalog. Think 80s Value Village finds and the occasional mustache.
3.gif

After high school I went to the University of Washington, bounced from major to major until finally deciding on Cinema Studies. It was fun because we got to watch some fantastic films and write about them. Writing is my forte and I liked movies, so by the time my junior year rolled around I figured, what the hell? Now I work at an international logistics company doing quality assurance for their customs systems. Which basically means I break stuff for a living. Or try to anyway... meh. It''s not forever but it''s good for now.

I have 2 tattoos. One is for my dancing the other is just fun. It has my astrology sign because I''m a pretty ridiculous gemini...I''ll post pics if wanted.

Hmmm that seems like a bunch of word vomit. What do you want to know? About Chris maybe? ...duh me.
20.gif
It''s been a looooong week. Haha.

This is my personality in a nutshell: being dumb at my last job.

Meagan16.jpg

And here are my boys, the only good thing to come out of my previous relationship. The black one is Dewey. He is currently on his 8th life because he''s just that dumb. Least graceful cat ever. But he''s a daddy''s boy and adorable. Trooper is my little princess. If there were such a thing as gay cats he would be one for SURE! LOL...he''s so pretty but so afraid of everything. He''s also the constipated one, and here''s the story on that one:

Poor Trooper was run over by a truck when he was a kitten, like 4-6 weeks old.
6.gif
Someone brought him to the vet where my friend works and she brought him home. He had a broken jaw and a crushed pelvis. He''s totally fine now, except that his intestines are really narrow from the healing. So his poop chute isn''t the greatest! No dry food for him or he has issues. Us being away for the week really stressed him out (not really a strange people person...or cat) and he didn''t eat and is now all messed up. My little boy!
39.gif
He''ll be okay...

So precious!

Since I''m in a photo-pastin'' mood, here are some fabulous dance shots! Hahaha...here''s the mustache. I''m on the left. I don''t make a good man.

Advanced Tap111111.jpg

My classic David Campbell sweatshirt with the neck cut out. I think it was David Campbell...some 80s symbol anyway... I loved my sweet blue suede tap shoes.

My girls!!! The first dance I choreographed and the inspiration for my next tattoo!

Forgot to say ignore the hideous mirror flash action going on there...

Here''s a classic jazz costume:

K, that''s all for now!
9.gif
Sick of me yet? Hee!

Steam Heat 2.jpg

Yay, I love the pics! You are just too darn cute with a mustache!
9.gif
Keep ''em coming, darlin''!
36.gif

LOL thanks Gwen. I didn''t think I could pull it off, but hey if you say so!
9.gif

Now, I guess I''ll get to Chris, since he''s pretty important.
1.gif
we''ve known each other for a long time. We went to the same middle school and high school. we worked together during high school at a children''s store. No sparks or anything, he was just the metal guy with the enormous pants (jnco, anyone?) and long hair. I was the shy not really popular but not unpopular girl who was obsessed with the Backstreet Boys. You heard right...maybe that''s embarrassing a little. Meh.

After high school I started working at the orange box that is the Home Depot while going to UW. A few years later, Chris starts up there too! But wait! It gets better. My mom told me he was starting there because she and Chris'' mom have worked together in a school for the last 11 years. Haha! Friendly banter ensued, but I was with my ex all through college, so nothing started up quite yet. We always joked about being Canadian. Then we found out we were both French Canadian...then once we did get together we found out we lived 5 minutes from each other when both families lived there!
6.gif
Crazayyy!

Once the ex and I broke up, I started hanging out with him and his friends. They would invite me down to the bar on Tuesdays after I was already in my pajamas, which I would normally never ever do, but man am I so glad I always went.
3.gif
One night I was driving his best friend home and he told me that Chris wanted to take me out. It was shock mixed with excitement, only because I''d just broken up with my BF of 4 years a couple of weeks earlier. But he was intriguing enough for me to say yeah, what the hell, and we started exchanging flirty texts.
4.gif
Our first date was on Valentine''s Day of 2007 and we''ve been together ever since!

Here''s us!

MeaganChris231111111.jpg

Aww, you guys are adorable!

So what is your favorite kind of pizza?

All dressed or plain cheese. I like all or nothing, apparently... hahaha. I like really weird ones too. This place by us makes this fantastic pizza with goat cheese and spinach, tomatoes and garlic. We''re talking cloves of garlic too. Mmmm...
18.gif

I loooooove food in general. I just suck making it. Where''s Freke when I need her?! LOL...Chris has worked in several kitchens though so when I can convince him to cook it''s good stuff. I just can''t handle multi tasking in the kitchen for some reason.

I love that picture. You two are a gorgeous couple! And is it weird that I covet your hair? It''s gorgeous (and I love your glasses too)!
1.gif

Ok, since you''re a dancer, you MUST have opinions on music (which is MY thing; I''m a musician). What kinds do you love to listen to for fun? What do you love to dance to?

Oh wow, you are a dancer, that is awesome! Great pics! You and your man are Adorable!!!
face23.gif

Gwen you just made my day!!! Thank you thank you!!!
5.gif
You can have my hair if you want it. LOL...it changes all the time. In fact I don''t really know what the real color is! Somewhere in that neighborhood probably.

Okay music? Look out...hee. I like everything. Which is really generic and boring, but I really do! I used to be a huge pop and hip hop fan, and pretty much refused to listen to anything else. Then I started liking rock. Then country. Since meeting Chris I now listen to metal. I don''t choose to listen to classical or jazz that often, but I do enjoy it if it''s on. Oh and my favorite ''genre'' is 80s butt rock and 90s dance music. Hayyyy!

Some favorites:
Shinedown (love em love em love em!!!)
Rascal Flatts
Taylor Swift (she''s so cute! I could just eat her up.)
Stone Sour (totally Chris'' influence)
Backstreet Boys (haha, had to put that in there)
Journey
Queen
REO Speedwagon
Styx
Flyleaf (christian metal band with female lead, good stuff)
Godsmack
Staind

As for dancing, I like really weird things. I''ve choreographed to Moby, Evanescense, Outkast, Janet Jackson, Godsmack, the Hampster Dance (for 5 year old tappers, it was so cute!) and a song called "Saturday Night", which is a 90s dance song.

You''re a musician, so do you associate different songs with specific memories? That happens to me allllll the time.

Yay for Journey and Queen! I love to drive Kris up the wall by blasting Journey when I''m driving. Heh heh heh.

Journey is the best driving music!!! And Boston. Ooh and Foreigner.

Blast - can''t edit this post, but I think it might be him from what I can see on the T shirt!

Hahah, ok, I will have to go through your list of music after I finish (FINISH!!!!!!!) my thesis tonight, but I just wanted to ask you a *totally* random question. In that picture you just posted of you and Chris, his shirt has this little red cross thing on it. I am 99% sure the answer to my question will be ''no'' and that it''s just some shirt company''s logo I''m not familiar with, but it really reminds me of a drum corp logo of a group called The Crossmen. TOTALLY off the wall, I know, but...Chris isn''t a musician, is he? Who''s been in drum corps?
12.gif

I''m totally a bank dork and always am on the look out for others like me.
37.gif

Oh, and I ABSOLUTELY associate songs with people/events/places, like to a RIDICULOUS degree. Most of the time it''s pretty innocuous, but in some situations when a song just pops on the radio and it''s a song of someone I don''t want to think about (like, my ex right after he cheated on me--had to pull over twice on the drive home because I was crying so much I couldn''t see to drive!). Do you and Chris have a song/bunch of songs?

LOL Gwen you are so cute. No drum corps for him, it''s the brand Independant. He wears that shirt every damned day...
20.gif
1.gif
. He is a musician though! Sorta...he was the frontman for his band back in the day (which was a Wednesday, by the way. Haha Dane Cook anyone?) and he has a certificate in ... crap... don''t remember. But it''s musical and he can set up a recording studio. Totally an audiophile, now he does home theatre installs for Best Buy. Hehehe he''s a Geek Squad member!!!
9.gif

That''s so sad about songs in a way. You know? Here''s a random one off the top of my head..."My Everything" by Brad Paisley. It''s such a beautiful song and I would love for someone to sing it to me (ahem, Christopher!!!
3.gif
) but it''s sorta associated with driving back from camping with my ex and 2 friends. They were looking all lovey dovey at each other and then they got engaged a few weeks later. Then broke up messily. Don''t know what happened there. Anyhoo! I get sidetracked easily...

We have some songs. "Vermilion Pt II" is what we consider to be OUR SONG. It''s by Slipknot, which is a crazy metal band with masks and a scary sociopath. Chris loves them.
40.gif
I''m a little scared of them, but the song is really nice.
