who can recut a sapphire?

i''m looking at buying a sapphire which has a largish window. i love the color, tho. it''s currently an oval, and i''d like to have it recut - still in an oval shape.
any thoughts who might do a good recut for me?

Richard Homer does (or used to) do recuts. The GemDoctor also does good work.

Doesn''t Dan Stair still do recuts? I recall seeing a pink spinel recut by him posted here this week. I know Barry and Gene don''t anymore.

I think Dan does. Jeff White doesn''t anymore unless he buys the stone himself.

Yes, Dan still does recuts, although he reserves the right to approve the stone first. His prices are also very reasonable. I was really happy about the work he did on my spinel.
