I have just put this stone on hold:

https://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-1958344.htm#

This will be my first diamond as I start my trade up! I asked for a price on a white gold 6-prong tiffany like setting and I was told it was $120. I just looked on their website, and they have the yellow gold one priced at $80. I''m confused as to why there is a $40 difference between them?

I will be asking them when I call back later on, but I thought I''d check here anyway.

I have no clue why there is a price difference on the settings, but wanted to say that is one gorgeous stone orbaya!!!

My guess is the cost of the alloy (palladium). Let us know!

Thank you! I''m very excited about this! It''s on hold right now, and I think I''ll be the proud owner of a brand new sparkly in a matter of hours!

Interesting. Not that I''ve done significant amounts of comparison pricing between the two gold colors, but I didn''t think there was any, or much of a difference. I''m not going to worry too much about it, but I was just surprised at the difference.

I will let you know exactly why though after I talk to WF.

Great choice on your diamond!

I looked at their website and I see the price as $120 for the yellow gold.

Where do you see the price as $80?

Thank you! It is offically MINE! They said they will most likely ship it tomorrow, but because of the holiday on Monday, I won''t get it until Tuesday at the earliest.

OMG you must be thrilled, congrats on buying a gorgeous diamond. Can''t wait for pics next week!!! So exciting orbaya!!!

When I was looking into getting a solitaire from WF this past Fall, the price for the White Gold was more expensive for Yellow Gold. Lovely stone!! Congrats!

The 6 prongs might overwhelm the stone. This is what I was told when I was having my .55 ct stone set. Have you considered the 4 prong?

They must have updated the prices after I talked to them. I guess they hadn''t updated their website before I talked to them...but they are $120, both white and yellow gold.

I''m so excited about my new sparkly! I''m glad that I''m getting some positive feedback on it.

I''ve already told hubby that he''ll be taking a bunch of pics for me to post here. I know it''s a small stone compared to what''s on here, but that''s okay!

Better get a manicure girfriend and have that camera charged and ready!!!

Yay!!! Orbaya, that is one gorgeous stone!!

I think we all will be anxiously waiting for Tuesday and your pics! Get everything ready!!!

Thanks! I was wondering about the 6 prongs too. I actually have a call in to see if it''s possible to change to 4. Hopefully they haven''t set the diamond yet.

Do you find that 4 prongs makes your diamond more squarish?

I love 4 prongs. Less metal and more bling.

Oh, I''ll have the camera charged and ready to go! I got a new digital one for Christmas so this will be its first real test. I have been playing with it though and trying to take good pictures of my wedding set. Hopefully I can capture the "beautifulness" of my new baby!

I don''t get manicures anymore, but maybe I''ll paint my nails just for the occasion!

Well, I talked to Denise at WF, and my ring is set so I can''t change it to 4 prongs, but that''s okay. It''s only temporary, so I can deal with it for a while if I don''t care for the 6 prongs! They are sending it tomorrow definitely, so that means I''ll get it Saturday!!!

She''ll be emailing me pictures tomorrow. I''m so excited!!
