All,

I have been lurking on the forums for a week now gathering all the info I can. Ive decided I would like to purchase the diamond from Whiteflash and do the whole band thing locally. My budget is $6000, I would like G and anything VS1 or better. I was thinking around 1.20ct or so. This is where I thought Id let the experts chime in and give me some advice on which to purchase. All other advice is appreciated as well.

you can search WF''s website for what they have available. Are you wanting a round stone?

A decent 1 ct., G, VS1 runs approximately $7k, so I think your parameters are a bit out of budget.

However, you can get a gorgeous stone in that budget. VS1 is way more than you need....you can go to SI1 easily with no visible difference. If you stick to inhouse stones with WF (their ACA and ES lines), they can verify that it''s eyeclean. I''d also drop a bit on color.

Here are a few great choices in your budget range:

Im sorry... I knew I forgot to mention the cut. Princess...

Whiteflash carries the new AGS0 princess cuts. I''d just give them a call tell them what you''re looking for and see what they''ve got. They don''t always list everything on their site or might have something coming in that would fit your critera and budget.

Ideally I would just like to choose from the website... that way I can have something to look at it. Any suggestions?

If you call and speak about a stone that is not on their website yet, I''m pretty sure they will take pictures and email you the same information that is typically on their website. It''s like your own private show before everyone else gets a chance to snatch up the stone!

WF doesn''t have too many of the AGS0 princesses but they surely are stunning in person, I saw a handful of them on my last visit.

Here is one that fits most of your criteria:

http://www.whiteflash.com/princess/Princess-cut-diamond-2408715.htm#

1.10 G VS1 AGS0 princess for $6530 (regular price, ask about the Pricescope discount)

They also have a 1.15 G VS1 AGS0 but it''s $7500. They don''t have any H''s or VS2''s or anything close to the G VS1 range that might get you more size unfortunately.

Also check out Wink''s site, he also carries the AGS0 princesses.

I have never been a HUGE HUGE princess fan but after seeing those AGS0''s at WF....I wanted a 3 stone ring PRONTO!

Mara - I really like that ring you picked out.

All the specs look perfect... are there any questions I need to be asking?

Also, are there any other similar diamonds to this?

Final bump... I would like to purchase tonight.. so any other diamonds besides this one that stand out and fit my criteria? Thanks so much.

Hi qwerty: it might be just as easy for you to check out the whiteflash website and go to the expert selection page. There you can filter down to princess cuts and they will list the stones. I believe all of those are in house. In addition, on the goodoldgold website you can view their in house stock as well. Some of those stones are AGS princesses. I hope I was not redundant on what other posters have said. If all else fails you can maybe call either of those two tomorrow, or send an e-mail tonight with your request and maybe they can help out tomorrow. Good luck with your purchse.

If WF doesn''t have exactly what you''re looking for I also suggest contacting Wink Jones as Mara suggested earlier. Also, Bill at www.icemine.com carries AGS0 princess stones and Bill Pearlman at www.pearlmansjewelers.com has them also. AGS just starting giving princess stones and 000 so there are not a ton out there which is why you might have to do some calling around with different vendors to see who has what you''re after. they will all be able to provide you with the info you want even if it''s not on their site''s.
