Hi everyone,

I have been lurking in this forum for the past 3-4 months, reading posts and viewing pictures of all your beautiful rings. With help from all the great information I've found, I think I've decided on the WF Legato Micro Pave for my e-ring. My soon-to-be finance is a lobsterman and so our purchase time is going to depend somewhat on how the lobsters are cooperating... But I'm hoping by Christmas we can go ahead with the order. This is a second-time-around marriage for both of us, so his proposal is definitely a secret, but choosing the ring is a joint effort!

My question to those who have this ring (or a similar 2MM band) is, do you feel it is too delicate for every day wear? I'm an active mom with two grade school boys, two dogs, and everything that goes along with that. I'm much more likely to be found washing a muddy dog or fixing the chin strap on a football helmet than wearing a cocktail dress. ;) I want a band I feel I can wear most of the time, and as much as I love the look of the Legato Micro Pave, I am concerned it won't be a good lifestyle choice for me.

Does anyone have any thoughts for a newbie on this site? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Pave is more delicate and does have to be treated with care. I have a plain shank e-ring but I do wear a diamond eternity band. I just am super careful and do not grasp things with than hand where anything comes in contact with the rings. I always take them off when I am home and doing anything like cooking or housework, yardwork (which is zero for me!), etc. You have to minimize danger of banging your rings against things, and I'd say the kitchen is the number one place where that is likely. I love the Legato as well, but I think you just need to have a ring holder where the rings go when you are working around the house. That is what I do, and it works!

Thanks diamondseeker! I appreciate the response, and I think your advice is very sound if I end up going with a pave. But the more I think about it, the more I wonder if a solitaire - maybe in a bezel setting - is more appropriate for my day-to-day lifestyle. The trouble is, that's what I had the first time around, and I really was looking for something totally different this time. Both in the ring as well as in the marriage!

In short, this decision is a lot harder than I thought it would be! But it's a really good problem to have. :D
