Hi everyone!!

Have any of you looked at this diamond at Whiteflash? I still can''t figure out how to attach a link, but the item number is above. It''s a SI1, 2 carat, round. It interests me because it has a larger table and a lower girdle % of 85. I think this means (and I certainly could be wrong) a lot of white pinpoint sparkle vs. the more chunky firey look. Could the experts chime in? Am I thinking of this correctly? I''d be curious what you guys think.

Thank you!!

Hi, Kathleen. Open another webpage with the stone. Click on the address bar to highlight the address. Then press ctrl c (both keys at the same time). Then have the another page open with your post. Press ctrl v and the link will appear. Just press the space bar once after the link and it should underline the link and make it active.

very interesting stone.
Its a shallow shallow with very long lgf% to counter the bad effects of the shallow/shallow combination.
I would recommend arranging to talk to Brian when he is back from Vegas about the stone with him looking at it.
It is not a common combination but may do what you want it too.
Talk to your sales rep. about putting it on hold until Brian can talk to you about it.
I am very interested in hearing what he has to say about it so please report back.

Wow, thanks for the quick response. I will call tomorrow and put it on hold. Do you know when Brian is coming back? Out of curiosity, how does a shallow/shallow perform when the lower girdle percentage isn''t so high?

Garry, are you out there? What do you think of this stone?

Garry is in Vegas and or traveling.
I''m going to answer both your posts in one post.
The chart here gives the general opinion on the combination and was made by Garry.

In my opinion the long lgf% can counter the negative effects which is why you should talk to Brian.
Your WF rep can tell when he is going to be back.
The negative effect is that they can look dark when viewed up close which is why they work better at the greater viewing distances in pendants and earrings.
That can be countered by a long lgf% which has other effects but one of them is what you are seeking, pinpoint fire/white light return.
Brian can explain this better on the phone as it is too involved for a single PS post.
