Whiteflash Diamond - Need Advice :)

Am considering this one...

What do you think of the proportion and cut?
The Idealscope and ASET images...do they look ok?
What's the difference between the "A-Cut-Above" and "Expert Selection" at Whiteflash?

Thanks much! :)

That is an 'Ideal cut' AGSL diamond, proportions, Idealscope, and Aset are great.

The 'A Cut Above' is their Best of the Ideal cuts and their Hearts & Arrows. That is the Whiteflash branded top of the line.

LOL! Thanks Lula!

A side question to everyone - Do you think I could ask Whiteflash to check this stone with a colorimeter and see if it is a borderline J that got bumped up to I?

I have never heard of WF checking color. I think you'd have to see the stone yourself to determine whether the color and clarity will meet your expectations since SI can be iffy in a 3 ct stone. Or you might could have an independent appraiser check color. I know David Atlas has done this before (and all will give their estimate of color). The stone is ideal cut, so it should be excellent!

Thanks Diamondseeker! I had actually decided that I should not go lower than VS2...but seeing this stone on Whiteflash just got me all excited & hopeful somehow! :loopy:

Anyway, the Whiteflash consultant whom I contacted was extremely helpful. I've been advised that the stone is not completely eye clean when viewed very upclose - which is important to me... So, I'll keep looking! :snore:

Lesson Learned for me = Do not go lower than VS2 :read:

I'll have to say, VS2 is my personal limit as well. Great that they were totally upfront on the clarity. I like WF for being honest!

Hi Charlize, now that is funny, I would say maybe that stone is one that 'missed the cut'...

You should also look at Brian Gavin Diamonds as well as Whiteflash, both of them sell the Hearts & Arrows and BGD also has a 'blue' line that are ideals & xxx cuts....both are great companies.
