Whiteflash custom ring process - design revisions? wax model or CAD?

To those who have had WF custom design a ring for them...

1) I know there is a $250 fee to get the CAD model started. Then it says for "major changes" an additional fee will be charged. How many design revisions did YOU go through? How big were the changes, and did they charge you another fee for it?

2) After the CAD, do they create a wax model then cast the ring from that? Or is it done straight from the CAD somehow?

I guess I would try to know exactly what I want. Do you have a picture of your inspiration ring? Do you want to modify anything on it?

Yes, WF creates a wax mold from the CAD. I personally only made one small revision on the wax and I wasn''t charged anything additional for it since it wasn''t a major change. Ditto skip that you should know exactly what you want and try to convey it well before starting the custom process. thanks for posting that link, kcoursolle! i also had questions about how to get going with a custom design, so this is very informative. i think i will try to become super-educated before starting the process so that i can provide such detailed instruction as well!
