I was just looking around Whiteflash and noticed that they now have some 4 main pav cushions in house. I was so sure that I wanted a GOG OMC, but then I saw this one: http://www.whiteflash.com/premium_select_cushion/Premium-Select-Cushion-cut-diamond-2160875.htm#

What do you think?
It is a very interesting cut stone. I would ask Bob at WF what happens when you tilt the stone slightly from faceup to see if those contrast zones lightup. Even better have it sent to an appraisor to view it in person.
WF has a bunch of interesting 4 main cushion brilliants.

That sounds like a great idea, will have to get the boyfriend to do that...their 4 pav cushions are not what I''m used to seeing, big tables. However, the aset and idealscope pics look pretty good? Should I get the boyfriend to change search parameters?

Over 15% crown height so its fine even with spreadier table. With older CBs and OMCs the larger tables meant shallower depth and crowns but some of these modern cut stones have both.
WF ASETs are really hard to see leakage in because they use a black background. I''d would lineup 2 or 3 stones from various vendors and see them in person and choose for yourself.

I actually had my Fiance choose between a modern 8 main CB and a GOG chunky.

I would still contact Mark at ERD(ask about antique 8 main CB) , Jon at GOG(signature old mine) and talk to Bob at WF(4 maind CBs) much easier than trying to find the stones yourself. Avoid the time wasting I did by trying to set strict number guidelines. Those 3 vendors can find you what you would like provided of course you know which look you would like. If you aren''t sure than maybe call in one from each of them and decide. It costs like 20 - $50 each way to call in a stone of that price and a little for the appraisor''s time but well worth it. The vendor whose stone you choose won''t charge you the shipping.

I still say go deeper than 60% in depth and keep the table in the 54 - 62% range but don''t ignore any stone if it has nice pictures and ASET. As you have seen a slightly larger tables might be okay as well. Larger table is a flatter looking stone no matter what the optics are though.

Regards,
CCL

Definitely ask Bob to take a look at it for you, he has a good eye and also ask him to check the girdle that the very thick part/s are not encompassing large amounts of the girdle. If this cushion appeals to you personally then worth inquiring further, it has a good crown height so might have possibilities of being a fiery cushion.
