So...do those in the know feel that stones that are from Whiteflash ACA are the best and need no further evaluation? Can one assume that the highest grading standards have been met in order to classify them ACA? It saves alot of time if one can just believe and accept these diamonds as being top of the line w/out further research. Thanks for your thoughts.

I've never met an ACA that I didn't like. But there are differences among ACAs that some people can tell and have preferences about. But to answer your question ACAs are a safe choice and they are all beautifully cut. I would buy one based on the information WF supplies without even seeing it.

I started a thread similar to this a while ago and the general consensus is that Whiteflash ACA would be equivalent to JA TrueHearts which is equivalent to the retail brands such as HoF and Peerless.

They are among the best.
That said every diamond has to be evaluated on its merits and part of that is the brand and/or the company behind them.
A diamond does not stand on its own, the policies, customer service and reputation of the seller has to be a large part of the decision.
WF also scores well in those things.

I don''t give any diamond a pass without an evaluation but the goods the top full service PS vendors sell come the closest to the point where I would be comfortable doing so.

My diamond studs are ACAs and I purchased them based on knowing that and they are fabulous! FWIW, my pendant is also from WF and is an Expert Selection and is just as gorgeous. You can save a bit of money if you hunt around their website and look at those stones, as well!

I bought a 1.01 ct, F, SI1 Whiteflash ACA for an e-ring and I am very, very pleased with it. It looks fantastic in all lighting conditions, but I notice it most in normal daylight, when its brilliantly white. My fiancee'' loves it too and gets all kind of compliments on it, from college classmates to jewelers at big box stores. That''s my personal experience with the ACA. Mine was definitely as advertised. The people at Whiteflash are great to work with as well - very patient and not pressuring at all; this was one thing that definitely influenced my decision to purchase from them.

As far as quality goes, I think it would be hard to beat, but you should definitely look around. Do some research on the grading labs, too. All the ACA (at least when I purchased mine 5 months ago) were graded by AGS. I researched their grading techniques on the AGS website and I found them to be the strictest lab in my evaluation.

Regardless of whether or not you select an ACA or not, definitely look at how well the diamond is cut. If you''ve poked around this website for any amount of time you already know, cut quality is king. Hope this helps.

I am not sure that James Allen are claiming a H&A''s brand - I could be wrong about that - they are using the terminology "true hearts" - but after a quick look at some images and not all are going to meet everyones standards.

They are supplying hearts side photo images for many stones now which are linked from Pricescope in-house diamond searches, and as i understand they leave it to the beholder to see if the stone is or is not H&A''s as there is no universally accepted standard anyway.

ACA do and have claimed they have a H&A''s based brand. From every image I have seen the standard is very high. The NQR stones often end up as the 4 star cherries and many times I think they would show better symmetry than some diamonds that I have seen images of from the leading retail brand.

It is strange to the point of being farcical that we hold minnow internet vendors brands stones under the microscope while the big name companies (global B&M''s and www ) have the ability to sell what ever they want without any peer or Pricescope examination.

thats because most people don''t care
it is amazing but the majority simple dont care very much.

i asked a friend if he investigated optical symmetry, h&a patterns and IS images, he replied that "who cares? as long as it sparkles thats great! "

whatever floats people''s boat....
