Whiteflash ACA H&A Melee question

Hi

I am thinking of either getting a Whiteflash 5 stone trellis ring, 1,25ct set with their ACA melee diamonds, which I understand are F/G VS.

The other alternative is to source my own diamonds. I have found some on Bluenile, 5 matched diamonds, 0.27ct each, E, VS2, all Gia certified, Excellent cut, excellent symmetry & polish, tables between 55% and 57% and depth 60.8% to 62.1%, no cutlet, no fluorescence.

However, with this size of stone, and given the reputation/quality of Whiteflash, i was wondering whether going up to E color would really make any difference?

Thanks

A well cut stone will face up whiter than a stone that isn't cut as well. It's hard to say anything about the BN stones without angle information, and even then those are rounded values.

I used to have a WF pendant with 4 small ACA's in it - like 10 pointers at the most - and they were absolutely beautiful. The arrows were so easy to see, which was fun. And they were SO white!

Stick with the ACA's if you can. :)

WF will charge an outside stone setting fee to set BN diamonds in one of their settings, and from everything I've seen I much prefer WF's settings (lines, details, and finish) to BN's, so I'd definitely go with the ACAs. F/G vs E in this size range won't make a whit of difference, visually or in terms of type of light return.

thank you, seems like Whiteflash ACAs the way to go.I was leaning that way, but being new to this, always better to ask the experts! :)
