White Gold Ring causing Arm Pain

I have a friend who just got engaged, she has a white gold ring with three diamonds in it. After one day of wearing it she started getting pain in her arm. The ring was loose and nicely sized. The pain subsides after she takes off ring. She puts the ring on her right hand and it doesn''t hurt her. Is this normal?

Sounds like fear of being married. There is no link from wearing a normal size ring to arm pain.

I know a couple people with carpal tunnel syndrome that can not wear rings of any kind without getting arm/wrist pain.
