Personally I like whiter diamond. So I would pick #1.

its between #1 and #3, are you sure on the price of #1 for an F? just curious any flourescent in any of them

I would buy #4.
I prefer to pay for clarity.
H is white for me.

What are your/ your ladies priorities?

If it's size you want... 1 or 3. If it's high color... 1. I wouldn't personally pay for VS1 clarity in a round so 4 is kinda off the table for me. If it's budget friendly you are after... then 2.

If it were me?

I'd for for size and then budget. So 3 would win, assuming it's eyeclean. But I don't think you can lose with any of the 4. Just depends on what your personal preference is.

I''d take the F color. I had the same dilemma about a year ago (not in your large sizes, though) and my brother said, all else being equal, take the highest color, that''s what people will see. They won''t see any inclusions in an SI1.
I took his advice and I''m really happy, set in platinum or white gold, even from the side, an F will look like ice.

#3 for me!

If this were an asscher, I''d go #2 without question as I''ve seen SI1 inclusions on EC/Asscher without 10x mag. However, for this round I''d have no problem taking an eye clean SI1, so I''d go #1, #3, #2, #4 in that order. For me, big bonus toward one with blue fluorescence.

Specifications only tell part of the story. To stay white to the naked eye, G is adequate if GIA certified, if EGL then you''ll want to go with E or F.

You can overpay for clarity. For example, a VS 2 might have an inclusion in the center or table of the diamond, whereas an SI 1 might have a clean table and the inclusions are feathery as opposed to carbon and can be hidden under a prong.

Also, the specs don''t tell you if the stone has life, and that''s part of the cut, which is the art behind the science.

I went through 30 diamonds to find one for a friend and ended up selecting a G color SI 2 clarity with a clean table that had more visible life than many stones that were in the VS clarity range and more expensive.

The key is if you are ordering online be sure to view the diamond(s) first before you make a decision. If it''s too much work and hassle, then you may as well get the higher clarity grade but I will say that every woman has different priorities and communication is important.

I have a friend who bought a diamond for his fiancee and she really wanted a white diamond, the color was more important than clarity, well he didn''t listen and now she''s stuck with a yellow stone.

Not likely in your scenario, but size may matter for example and also the setting may be more important to her than even the diamond.

The main thing is that if you are on this website, then you obviously found a great woman and that''s the most important thing so no matter what diamond you choose, if you''ve got the right woman, the diamond is like icing on the cake.
