I have a lovely square cushion which I am very happy with. Can''t afford to upgrade just yet but maybe soon.

So if you could have one of the following which would you choose?

I would be interested to know from someone who knows more than me about the inclusions of both these diamonds. SI1 scares me bit!!

I meant SI2 scares me!!

GOG website seems to be down. Hopefully it will be up later to check out these diamonds.

SI2 is not for everyone I think, but it is a good way to save a bundle. Jon will be honest about whether the diamond are eye clean to your standards. But finding a really great SI2 is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Its down for me too, I will come back later to check for you.

Concerning SI, as Dreamer says Jon will be completely honest with you whether the stone is eyeclean and suitable for you. There are eyeclean SI1 out there so this diamond is a possibility.

The 0.91ct H SI2 looks like it would be more likely to show an inclusion in the table. The other one has a few specks in the middle of the table, but the feather-ish thing on the H looks more visible from the above photos of the diamonds. Table is where people are most likely to spot an inclusion.

Tried the links again, still not working for me....

The second diamond you posted (6982) looks closer to eye clean because it doesn't have the big feather under the table - It's ASET looks a little cleaner than the first diamond.

Based on that, it would be my choice (though it seems to have a feather one one of the outside edges, which can be a problem sometimes.)

(I wonder if these two were brought in for earrings?)
