Looking to start with a small one, about .50 or so.

It depends who has the EC you are looking for Sonoma and whether that particular diamond comes with an upgrade policy, so you would need to check in each case. I would try Whiteflash or GoodOldGold to begin with.

Actually, this one I''d shop for with upgrade policy first because it is a no rush project. Without the right upgrade for this one - I won''t add another diamond.
