Hi guys,

just curious, lets say we have a 1ct diamond, ideal in every way (ratios, cut, color etc), in each shape..

ie round, square, marquise, oval etc..

What will LOOK the biggest?

Thank you!

There aren''t really "ideal" standards for non-rounds, so it''s hard to say. Round looks bigger than most princesses, asschers, etc. Many think that long tall stones like pears, mq, etc. look slightly larger than rounds.

I agree the oval and marquise look bigger, then the round and lastly square shapes.

This link should help

thats really useful, thank you skippy.. and to everyone else too

Basically marquise, oval, and pears can look the largest for the weight.

Thanks skippy, for the useful chart. :)

In this order, biggest first:
Marquise, pear, oval, emerald, cushion (elongated shape), radiant, round, princess, cushion (square shape), asscher
