Hi,

As some of you may remember i previously posted asking about which diameter diamonds for the 5 stone ring for size 7.

In the end i went with BGD:

0.276 E SI1 4.18 x 4.21 x 2.59 mm
0.283 F SI2 4.24 x 4.25 x 2.62 mm
0.294 F SI2 4.31 x 4.35 x 2.63 mm
0.293 D SI1 4.25 x 4.28 x 2.65 mm
0.280 D SI1 4.18 x 4.21 x 2.6 mm

so it will have a slight graduating effect :)

So i have had my heart set on platinum setting.

At first i am leaning towards the trellis setting for the design of it. But now i am leaning more towards the U prong or Nightingale setting as i think it show off more of the beautiful stones than the metal work.

What do you guys think?

If U prong or nightingale which will you have choose as they are very similar i think just additional side bezel and i don't know how often can you see it as it might be covered up most of the time between fingers.

Is this standalone or are you planning on wearing it with an engagement ring?

I like the trellis the best!

of those the trellis. but I have same finger size and I'd do a bar set 7 stone instead personally.

Standalone right hand ring. :)

I got my five stone 1.70 ctw from BGD in May and did the uprong in platinum. It is gorgeous  Love being able to see all of the diamond. I did ask for the stones to be set low. I love how the stones make a graceful curve across the top of my finger and you really don't notice any metal.

I love the Nightingale and the pinched shank version, Sally. Second choice, the trellis.

I like the u-prong the best - I'd get the stones set low, like woofmama's.

I like the classic U Prong the best.

I like the nightingale

Trust me, the small size difference is not enough for you to notice any graduated effect.

I have both U-prong and Trellis made by Whiteflash. The diamonds in both rings sparkle so much that I can't see any brightness obscured by side metal, so I would say both settings will equally showcase the brightness of your diamonds. I suggest you choose the setting based on which one appeals to you more.
Personally, I prefer the Trellis setting, because I like the swooping curves and I especially enjoy the through-finger view every time I wear the Trellis ring. Between the two BGD Trellis settings, I prefer that one that has the diamonds set slightly higher, because I prefer to see more swooping curves. For the same reasons, I prefer the WF Trellis version over the BGD versions. The Diamonds in the WF version are set still higher, and hence one can see more swooping curves. No matter which version you choose, the ring will be comfortable.

Between the U-prong and Nightinggale, I prefer U-prong, because I want to save some money. Your five bigger diamonds will have enough sparkles that you will hardly miss (or notice) any extra tiny melees on the side.

I love those graceful Trellis lines!

Thanks for the tips. Really appreciated it.

So now I really need to choose just between trellis or U prong then.

The U prong is easier to clean.

Do any of you have short clip of your trellis or u prong in life perspective as in my country there's no such design at all or actually no 5 stone ring at all can be found at local jewelry shop. I only saw the pictures on pricescope for idea so far.

FancyDiamond do you have any clip of both your rings in action?
