On the waiting list for a GOG siggy cushion. Deciding between these 2 settings and wanted some PS input.

Tacori 2620 - a PS crowd pleaser

Sheldon Speyer (the setting i am considering has engraving on the inner shank - terminology?). The head would be made for a modified sqaure, prongs shaved to be more delicate, stone set lower and a "bridge" (terminology?) added to allow a WB to sit flush.

Pics are from the GOG settings page. The setting is SO much prettier and delicate IRL. Wish there were other pics online that I could post as these pics (no offernse GOG) does not compare to how delicate and beautiful it really is. Ok, can you guess which setting I am leaning towards? LOL!

I''m obviously partial to the 2620!

Beautiful and delicate.

I don''t think you can go wrong with either setting. Have you seen the tacori in person as well? I cannot WAIT to see what you come up with! Now that I think about it more, I think the SS would be my favorite also....what a fun decision!

Yes, I have seen both IRL several times at GOG.

I LOVE the Tacori but something about the SS really speaks to me. Again, the pictures do not the setting justice. The engraving really adds to the detailed antique yet delicate look. Also, the platinum of the IRL setting is not a high polish as shown in the pics. With a few minor changes (shaved prongs, modified square head, bridge, diamond set lower), I think the setting will be ever MORE beautiful.

The only thing that I am nervous about is that there doesn''t seem to be a great deal of info about Sheldon Speyer. Marie assured me that the workmanship is top notch. I am inquiring about a warranty policy as well since I think it is important that a designer will stand behind their product.

Thanks for all the replies and giving me the well respected PS approval.

Funny you mention that you love the side shot as this is what I don''t like. The pic is SO SO different than why it looks like IRL. I think another factor that turns me off to this view is I am not a fan of the hefty prongs and the fact that they aren''t "hugging" the diamond as well the high set stone. Totally personal preference and not meant to offend the owner of this setting.

The profile is gorgeous! This one gets my vote.

I love the Sheldon Speyer!

Sounds like you really really like the SS. So go with that one!! And enjoy having a less common (on PS) ring!

My vote is for SS!!!!!! Absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!!!

They are both lovely, but I just adore the Tacori 2620.

Speyer, hands down.

YIPPEE! SO happy that I have the PS stamp of approval on my beloved SS setting. Eventhough the pics of the setting isn''t identical (no engraving, round head, no bridge) as the one that I am hoping to receive, you all did an amazing job with visualizing the final product (something that I am struggling with).

Thought the votes would be skewed towards to the Tacori since it seems to be a favorite amongst the PSers. I still have to do a little more scrutinizing of the 2 settings but 99% sure that the winner will be the "modified" Sheldon.

THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!
