This is for my .94 round brilliant.

I like the Caroline because I like a plain shank personally, but they are both lovely.

It really comes down to whether you prefer to have diamonds in the setting or not--and the votes will reflect that. (I didn't vote because I prefer plain shanks, or mostly plain--ie no more than 1/2 eternity, so I'm obviously biased!)

Are you leaning in one direction or the other? Do you have concerns about either?

I like the classic look of the Caroline and the delicateness of the Endless Love. I''m split in the middle right now, unfortunately. No concerns on either. I''m assuming bother are very well made and gorgeous in person.

Have you tried them on? A plain shank and a blingy one are really different looks, and I would think one would jump out and say, "Me me, pick MEEE!!" to you...maybe?

I was going to go visit some jewelry stores this weekend but I was too busy. I did temporarily fall in love with the Tiffany Novo until I tried it on with the wedding band. That was too much bling for me. But the Novo is chunkier than the Ritani.

Alone, I prefer the Ritani. With a wedding band (I definitely want eternity), I slightly prefer the Caroline. I guess since I''ll be wearing it more with the wedding band, I should go for the Caroline?

Another vote for the Caroline. I love it!

I love the Ritani endless love someone posted a ring awhile back ago and it looked beautiful, just my 2 cents. ETA: Try both on; I think it makes a huge difference trying rings on. There have been rings on the internet that looked beautiful to me and they I tried them on IRL and they looked gorgeous but just not on my hand.

I definitely would go with the Vatche then, totally classic, beautiful look. I did vote Vatche anyway. And yes, both rings would be well made.

love the vatche! and it''d look gorgeous with an eternity band!

Ditto on the Vatche Caroline with a diamond wedding band! I''d probably have that ring now had it been around a year or so ago! I think the Ritani is really pretty, too, but that band was soooooo thin when I tried it on.

I''ve just put in a quote request from Leon Mege as well. For some reason, the Caroline is $2,100, and I''ve read that Leon''s classic might even come in under $2,000. Will keep you guys updated.

Thanks for voting!

Let us know what Leon says. I did vote for the Caroline. Just love it.

Love the Caroline!

i voted for the caroline...based on the pictures

i make that disclaimer because...when i first saw pictures of the ritani endless love months ago, i actually had my heart set on it as the setting for my upgrade diamond. i live in HK mind you and the setting is not available here so i had to wait a couple months before i had a chance to see it during a trip to the states. And to be completely honest, i wasn''t as excited about it once i saw it in person. so after months of coveting it, my heart changed in a split second as soon as i saw the real deal. i ended up getting a leon and couldn''t be happier. i really hope i didn''t offend any ritani owners...just wanted to share my personal experience.

I voted for the Caroline...
Yes, the Leon might come cheaper. I was surprised at the price. I got a quote from him yesterday. I wish I could get a leon but I'm commited to a setting-in-progress it seems. Well, maybe my setting will get old really fast so I will need a new one

. I tried the ritani, it's lovely but I really prefer the plain e-ring and eternity band combo. Trying different things before you buy is really helpful.

The Caroline does have diamonds on the basket whereas the Leon classic does not. The Leon setting was about $1500 as of Feb.

That''s true. I considered asking Leon to do diamonds on the basket, but I really just love the classic as-is. And the claw prongs are just so perfect. The only change I requested was for single prongs instead of double since my diamond probably isn''t big enough to carry off all those prongs. We''ll see what Leon says.

He''ll insist on single. He insisted on single with my stone which was 1.6 cts.

I got a reply from Leon this morning. He quoted $1,600 and 3-4 weeks. Now I just need to get up the nerve to actually call him!

I vote for the Leon for a plain solitaire and the Ritani if you wanted the pave...

I think the Caroline is stunning. But the Leon wins hands down for me if you want something classic with no diamonds to pair with a blingtastic band.

Absolutely! You definitely want to get the look you like with the wedding band. A few months/years w/ a solo E-ring, vs. a lifetime of paired w/ WB - definitely get what you like better paired.

I didn''t vote, because although I personally am not a solitaire girl, that second one is really beautiful. Personally I always thought if I''d seen Ritani Endless Love when I was engaged, I would have gotten it, because you can pair it with a matching WB and it''s still not too blingy. Neither is solitaire paired w/ eternity WB, but because they are not as matching, for myself I never wanted that, but it''s so classic and looks beautiful really, you couldn''t go wrong.

Also, I don''t think of the Ritani as blingy; it''s more of a subtle, glittering look. You definitely need to try them both on, and see them (at least the pave ring) in lighting other than jewelry store.

lisamarie - don''t be shy about calling! i too was a bit intimidated and nervous to call the vendors/designers frequently mentioned here, one of which was leon. i did however finally contact him and he was nothing but a pleasure to speak with and purchase from.

i think you have great taste! you couldn''t go wrong with either the ritani or the vatche (i voted vatche, but really they are both stunning, it is just a matter of the look you ultimately want), and now to be going with a leon!! lucky, lucky!!

I called on my lunch break. He was very nice actually. Spoke a bit fast and talked over me a little bit but I think it was just that he was busy. He seemed very efficient, at least. We talked a little bit about the process and agreed to speak more once he has my stone. Pretty good experience so far. I will update in a new thread as the process continues.

Thanks so much, everyone, for your valuable input!!!

That is very exciting! I think you''ll love a Leon e-ring! One bit of advice, do tell him you will be wearing the ring with a wedding band. You''ll still need a low set wedding band if you have him set your stone low. A Tiffany or Memoire band can work. The Tiffany Legacy 2mm band works with mine.
