I like the classic look of the Caroline and the delicateness of the Endless Love. I''m split in the middle right now, unfortunately. No concerns on either. I''m assuming bother are very well made and gorgeous in person.Date: 4/29/2008 4:07:55 PM

It really comes down to whether you prefer to have diamonds in the setting or not--and the votes will reflect that. (I didn''t cote because I prefer plain shanks, or mostly plain--ie no more than 1/2 eternity, so I''m obviously biased!)
Are you leaning in one direction or the other? Do you have concerns about either?
Have you tried them on? A plain shank and a blingy one are really different looks, and I would think one would jump out and say, "Me me, pick MEEE!!" to you...maybe?Date: 4/29/2008 4:15:01 PM

I was going to go visit some jewelry stores this weekend but I was too busy. I did temporarily fall in love with the Tiffany Novo until I tried it on with the wedding band. That was too much bling for me. But the Novo is chunkier than the Ritani.Date: 4/29/2008 4:19:52 PM

I definitely would go with the Vatche then, totally classic, beautiful look. I did vote Vatche anyway. And yes, both rings would be well made.Date: 4/29/2008 4:27:22 PM

Alone, I prefer the Ritani. With a wedding band (I definitely want eternity), I slightly prefer the Caroline. I guess since I''ll be wearing it more with the wedding band, I should go for the Caroline?
Let us know what Leon says. I did vote for the Caroline. Just love it.Date: 4/29/2008 8:23:05 PM

I''ve just put in a quote request from Leon Mege as well. For some reason, the Caroline is $2,100, and I''ve read that Leon''s classic might even come in under $2,000. Will keep you guys updated.
Thanks for voting!

The Caroline does have diamonds on the basket whereas the Leon classic does not. The Leon setting was about $1500 as of Feb.Date: 4/29/2008 8:23:05 PM

That''s true. I considered asking Leon to do diamonds on the basket, but I really just love the classic as-is. And the claw prongs are just so perfect. The only change I requested was for single prongs instead of double since my diamond probably isn''t big enough to carry off all those prongs. We''ll see what Leon says.Date: 4/29/2008 9:07:29 PM

Absolutely! You definitely want to get the look you like with the wedding band. A few months/years w/ a solo E-ring, vs. a lifetime of paired w/ WB - definitely get what you like better paired.Date: 4/29/2008 4:27:22 PM

lisamarie - don''t be shy about calling! i too was a bit intimidated and nervous to call the vendors/designers frequently mentioned here, one of which was leon. i did however finally contact him and he was nothing but a pleasure to speak with and purchase from.Date: 4/30/2008 1:34:05 PM

I got a reply from Leon this morning. He quoted $1,600 and 3-4 weeks. Now I just need to get up the nerve to actually call him!
I called on my lunch break. He was very nice actually. Spoke a bit fast and talked over me a little bit but I think it was just that he was busy. He seemed very efficient, at least. We talked a little bit about the process and agreed to speak more once he has my stone. Pretty good experience so far. I will update in a new thread as the process continues.Date: 4/30/2008 4:54:07 PM

i think you have great taste! you couldn''t go wrong with either the ritani or the vatche (i voted vatche, but really they are both stunning, it is just a matter of the look you ultimately want), and now to be going with a leon!! lucky, lucky!!
thanks for the tip. i was wondering if i should say anything. maybe i can get a novo band. the novo was my first love after all.Date: 4/30/2008 6:08:35 PM

That is very exciting! I think you''ll love a Leon e-ring! One bit of advice, do tell him you will be wearing the ring with a wedding band. You''ll still need a low set wedding band if you have him set your stone low. A Tiffany or Memoire band can work. The Tiffany Legacy 2mm band works with mine.
