I am a long time lurker and first time poster. I need the expertise of the group. I am looking at three different round brilliant stones as the center of a three stone ring. I am wondering based on the data, which one I should choose - all three have GIA certificates and are within my budget. I currently have a .90 H VS2 that I could use for the center, but it is a little smaller than I would like. I have requested the ideal scope images, but they have not been returned yet.

Can you help please?

Not an expert here. usually with a good HCA score they are supposed to all be equally good cut quality as long as it's a score under 2.

Number 3 is deeper than the rest. All three diamonds have very different looks to them. I like them less deep than 62.

You gave the HCA score, but you left out crown and pavilion angles which are the most important numbers for the experts to comment on. :cheeky:

Really, the number one factor is whether they are all eyeclean. Have you seen the magnified images? If they are all eyeclean, I'd focus on #2 and #3 just because they face up just a little larger than the first, and I like tables to be under 58, usually. But the idealscopes will be the other major factor aside from the clarity that will help make the decision. There really is no way to choose based on the numbers alone.

An image is important. Do you happen to have the report numbers, or the data within at least? (Crown and pavilion angles, crown height and pavilion depth, etc.) :read:
