Which proportions do you prefer in an OEC three stone ring?

1: 1.00ct center 0.70ct sides.
2: 1.00ct center 0.30ct sides.
3. 1.00ct center 0.25ct sides.
4: 1.25ct center 0.70ct sides.
5: 1.25ct center 0.30ct sides.
6: 1.25ct center 0.25ct sides.

Well, I love the classic Tiffany 2:1 ratio, so I would pick the 1.25 center with .70 sides. It's the closest. Next choice is the 1 ct center with .70 sides. I love a big blingy 3 stone look.

#2 looked the most pleasing to me ... but I have to say -- those squaring prongs really make it difficult to judge *correctly*.

4 then 5.

That order seems the most visually balanced to my eye.

#2 and then #4.

However, it would depend upon the setting, the width of your finger and look you're going for.

My 3-stone has been 6 year project and it's still not finished!

I picked #4 because I liked the ratio but if you have the stones for #1 I could like that one too .

I think #1 is one bling of a ring . I don't think DSS could ever set in with that stunning wattage!

No prongs, Mike. I am not good at photo shopping those prongs out, and the center stone in all of them is currently in a solitaire with those prongs! I made it bigger for the bottom row. I guess I could have just used one of the loose ones as the prototype...

#2 catches my eye the most... there is enough of a difference that the center stone is still the focal point (which is a look i personally prefer in a three-stone), while the side stones still have very nice presence. i love the balance! it's been fun following all of your threads - i can't wait to see what you end up doing with everything!

No prongs, Mike. I am not good at photo shopping those prongs out, and the center stone in all of them is currently in a solitaire with those prongs! I made it bigger for the bottom row. I guess I could have just used one of the loose ones as the prototype...

If not those prongs then what style setting (if you don't mind me asking), for fine bezels I like #3 and for claws #2
