Hi Everyone,
I am looking in to getting a small set of diamond studs from James Allen. I found a couple of sets that interest me and am looking for opinions on the two sets I have narrowed it down too. They both have their pluses and minuses. This is a starter pair for me which I will upgrade in the future, so they don't have to be perfect but I would like to get the best value for my money. My budget is only around $1,000 for the set of diamonds.

The negative for this set is that I am color sensitive. I had a H diamond on my hand once and ended up exchanging it for a F, so I don't know if these will be bright enough for me. I am thinking since they will be on my ears I probably won't notice the color the same way I would in a ring. Also, while they are GIA Excellent, they had a HCA score of 3.8 and 4.5. The positive is the clarity.

The negative is the I1 clarity(!), but I'm not sure the flaws will visible to the naked eye when the studs are in my ears. The flaws I see in the images are white, so would they blend in with the diamond? Positives are I would love to have some bright D's, they are larger than the other pair and they scored a 1.4 and 1.7 on the HCA even though one is a GIA Excellent and one is a GIA Very Good.
I am leaning toward the pair of D's and have placed them on hold, but am worried about the I1 clarity. I never see PS'ers purchase I1's. The James Allen sales rep mentioned that clarity is not too much of a concern with studs. What do you think?
