Which oval diamond is better?

Hi all, I am trying to decide for an oval diamond for an engagement ring and I would really appreciate your opinions about these two oval diamonds:

Diamond A:

I believe this one has most proportions in the suggested "ideal" range, but the angles are missing and from comparisons I assume the crown angle is around 33°, and pavilion angle around 39.5°.

Diamond B:

This one has crown angle 38.4°, pavilion angle 40.8°, crown height 17.5%, depth 66.5%.

Do any of these diamonds have good light performance, or should I look for a different one?

Oh that's my fault, I'm new and I didn't notice this forum was for natural only and I thought I saw some labs being discussed here.
I asked for it to be moved as you suggested, hopefully I can get some opinions

I prefer the 2.51 which I think is a 4-main. It looks slightly crispier and brighter through the center. You'll need to get
@DejaWiz to check on the quality of the rough for any lab created issues (I'm not good at that).

Can you order both and return the one you dont like?

Thank you for your input, I am also leaning towards the 4-main. Unfortunately I don't think getting both and returning one is not really an option.

But overall do you think this 4-main has good light performance? I'm not really sure what exactly to look for in the video.

These vertical videos are very difficult to decipher. You want to see clear, crisp, well-defined facets that flash on/off as the
stone turns. On the other hand, you want to minimize the "mush" you see in the stone. Places where its just gray and blury.

This is the typical places ovals have a lot of mush (outlined in green).


This stone shows "nice" facets coming into view as the stone rotates. This is what you want to see. Of course, these
are 8 main stones. 4 mains are a little different though.


I think the 8 main you posted is going to have your typical "mushy" areas. My issue with the 4 main
you posted is that it looks to have more mush than a typical 4 main.


It's much easier if you find ovals that are rotating on their side. It gives you a much better idea of how
the stone is going to preform.

I still like the 4 main better but its not a sure thing over the 8 main (reason I asked if you could get both). We have
a poster on here that just ordered 6 ovals so she could decide between them. Kind of a pain because you have to send back
what you don't want, but makes it way easier to decide when you can see them in person.

Thanks a lot for all of your helpful insights! I also liked the 4 main better and my jeweler just received it. I have attached two videos of how the diamond looks. The video quality is not the best but maybe it can be seen if it performs well. On the second video it looks like it has a slight bow tie in certain angles but I guess that is to be expected. Is it a nice looking oval in your opinion?

I think the HRD certificates don't show the pavilion cut properly. I looked at a bunch of HRD certificates and all of them showed a 6 main pavilion cut, even though the diamonds in the 360 videos showed mostly 4 main or 8 main cuts.
