Does HW give the crown and pavilion angles? Using depth % on the HCA is less accurate.

Also, I do not know what kind of optical performance pic is given. Can you post it so?

HW only gives the percentages. The original report is at the store. I took home a photocopy, but you can see whiter areas on one side of the diamond. When observing the stone in the store it looked pretty brilliant and eyeclean, but that was under the store lighting. I took it near the window and outside, but the times i did it was cloudy weather. If I post the black and white photocopy would it be helpful at all? Thanks so much for the help...I''ve officially driven myself crazy over this stuff! lol

Sounds like it could be an error in the photo taking but can''t say for certain. Is it possible to ask the store to send u a color scan of the report?

Actually cloudy weather is good to view stones in. Almost any cut grade will do quite well under strong lightings which is what the stores have.

Bluenile just got back to me and said that all the stones are eye-clean and that he recommends the 1.13 ct. triple ex....which you guys already had recommended. So the diamonds are on hold for another 48 hours.

I''m going to ask for the colored photo of the original stone and I''ll post it. I thought that all stones look dull under cloudy weather because of the minimal lighting conditions. The stone sparkled a bit under these conditions but so did another stone I was comparing it to. The easiest thing to do I guess is to stick with the original stone if I can drive down the price.

Ok I got the colored photo...don''t think it''s good, but I have no idea how to interpret it. I was able to see the 1.51 ct. stone again for the 3-4th time and it still looks pretty eye-clean in the store and outside in natural lighting. I''m going to decide by tomorrow if i should take the 1.51 or 1.13 ct.

Prices: 1.51, $8000 CAD total (Gemscan and HW)
1.13, $7300 CAD total (GIA)

That is not a standard light performance pic. Any breakdown of what each color means?

A JA stone of similar color/clarity good cut grade is price at USD5380.

The image shows leakage under the table and near the girdle.

I''m picky, but I like my diamonds to fall within these specs: Depth: 60-62, Table: 54-57, and a crown/pavillion angle combo that gives an HCA less than 2.

So should I go with the 1.13 ct. then? Rapaport price for 1.51 ct. I1 G color is $6644 USD or $8058 CAD (but the stone could still be SI2 a have greater value).

Anyone else want to lend some advise?

Want to make a good decision here. Does anyone know what the pic means for sure? The 1.13 stone only on hold until tomorrow at bluenile. Need to gather all the info I can
