with previous topics i know its personal perference... but the real importance as cut carat and colour to me ... i would ever so grateful for your views on these diamonds and if ive missed anything

thanks guys

I think both are really very pretty and either will most likely make you and you FF happy :)

Is it more important to you and your FF to reach over the 1.5ish mark or is more important to have a higher colour but a slightly smaller size?

thanks for the reply... i have given much detail just links.. bare in mind i was typing like 2 in the morning in pitch black...

personal perference is the key.. but i was wondering if some of you could look at the scope images and things like that... to a newbie they just look like nice pics ....

thanks

All the images look great, you haven't missed anything, the proportions of each diamond are excellent. It depends on price too and size, as there is a bit of difference between the two, but I agree with Dee, you could pick either and have a great stone! If you wanted to hit the 1.5 ct mark and don't mind the difference in price, then the ACA is the one to go for, if not then consider the GOG diamond.

Have you decided against a marquise now?

oh boi... we went to see some rings to get an idea on shapes.... tried a few on .. she was set on a marquise... but bless her.. her fingers are so tiny the marquise just stood out rather then showing a sparkle... so we looke around and around.. and decided on a round brilliance... lol....

but a great choice....

thought about a setting ... loving the tiffany setting 2 choices - classical 6 prong or for a bit of bling liking the double halo setting .....

any input .. and lorelei.. thanks for the reply...

You are welcome and I think you did exactly the right thing in taking her shopping, can''t go wrong with a round!

Personally I like the Tiffany 6 prong, especially if you go for the bigger rock!

If her fingers are really tiny, the 1.32 would be a lovely size. Did she seem to have any preference on the size of the rounds she tried on, did anything look good, or bad?

did try 1.27 and that look pretty .. she likes the double halo will have to look at that..
cheers for the input guys ..

You are welcome, keep us posted!

If you are thinking of a double halo, I would strongly recommend going with a smaller stone. A single halo adds a good amout of diameter to the overall appearance. A double would add even more.

Me personally (and I am sure I would be in the minority) for an e-ring I would pick the E VS1.
