Which one would you pick between these two?

I wouldn't make a move until I see the Idealscope image.

The HCA dings on pavilion angles greater than 41. When the crown angles and pavilion angles get high in relation to one another, there is more chance for light leakage. That's why the previous poster recommended an idealscope image to see how significant the light leakage might be.

What if non of the vendors have the expensive equipment to do idealscope image?

In my opinion, I would pick the second diamond because a pav angle of 41 has less chance of light leakage. I also think the inclusions are not in the middle of the table. I would try to find an appraiser who can take idealscope photos. If there are none in your area, there are several appraisers on PS who can. I would make sure that you have a good return policy in place so if you desire you can get a 100% refund on your purchase. In this price range I would spend the extra few hundred dollars for a professional evaluation and shipping charges prior to purchasing. Pay by a credit card if you wish. Or buy your own idealscope. Good luck!!!

I agree that having a professional independent appraisal done is in your best interest. You will need to have one for insurance purposes anyway. The key here is that the appraiser be independent, meaning that he doesn't sell jewelry and has not interest in where or what diamond you purchase. A good appraiser will be able to tell you if you are getting a good value and if the stone is a top performer. Bagelboy is right about the return policy as well, get it writing, and be sure to propose before the end of the return period!
