Hello Everyone,

Final stage of diamond selection. Below are three Idealscope and their HCA, which one would you pick and why ?

I'd take the middle J. Slightly better idealscope and higher color. HCA score is irrelevant now.

The company tell me that the first J is a whiter shade than the middle J and recommend the first one for me. The first J is also more expensive, too (by 900 dollars). The first J is also excellent in symmetry and polish, while the Middle J is E polish and VG Symmetry. Does that changes your recommendation? The Ideal scope only tell brightness and not color ? right ?

bottom line, I want the best performer out of the three.

fwiw, i took a look and made my selection without reading Gypsy's response and I agree, #2. The first two will look similar color wise from the top, only the side view will be affected. I prefer the IS of #2 too over #1, yet better color than #3. #3 has the best IS to me with the more ideal proportions, but lower color. K is still good but the warmth is definitely there, whereas J is still in the near colorless grouping.

eta VG is symmetry is fine. Can't see it really IRL and a money saver.

Well, I messed up, this is the correct descriptions for the Ideal scope pictures.

The middle J is what is recommended for me, they said it is the whiter J and the first J is normal J.

Sorry for the mix up.

well the order of the pictures is now in reverse from the original post, but the middle is still the middle, and this diamond was recommended both by the gemologist and by Gypsy, so I think your choice is pretty clear.

Yea looking at the video, I like the middle one too, it seen brighter and whiter, that is true, but the IS on the first one is just beautiful! haha. I wonder sometime if the video that they show can be off by lighting or angle so two stones with the same spec can look so different. The first stone's IS is better than the second stone's IS, but the video and the company concurred that the second stone is whiter.. what would explain that ?

One more time, haha, with the corrected descriptions, does it changes your recommendation?

Thanks a million !
