P.S. What a BEAUTIFUL place, Princesss -- where was it?

What's G Force? Is it that weird, indescribable dying-feeling I'm trying to describe? Lol.

I think G-Force is the physics that accounts for that feeling - something to do with the horizon? You might love skydiving - I know the sensation you are talking about and I hate it too. That's why I couldn't go bungee jumping. However with skydiving you don't get that sensation of falling or nausea and what have you. There's just a lot of wind rushing in your face and the thrill and joy of being suspended over the earth, so small and big beneath you all at the same time. Then when the shoot opens it's just so peaceful and fun! I jumped tandem, and the guy attached to me (ha, that sounds so weird) said that because the horizon is so far away your brain has no point of reference to realize it's falling, thus you don't get that sensation (or something to that effect, it was a long time ago!). I had never even been in a plane when I jumped, but I just knew I wanted to do it and would love it, and I did!

Maybe you mean ground rush? G force has to do with the number of "gravities" you feel - so 3Gs is 3 times the force of gravity.

Hm, thanks guys. I wonder if the indoor ones create the same physical feeling? I'd like to try it for a short minute on those indoor ones before getting "stuck" on the real deal, just in case I do feel that sick physical feeling. I don't think that feeling has anything to do with the horizon or whatnot, since it's not linked to visuals for me. I feel it plenty, even with my eyes closed. My whole body gets muscle weakness, and I can't even hold onto the bars in front of me on roller coasters. My body locks up and tenses, and my heart and guts feel like they want to explode out of my head, and my skin feels like it's tickle-burning. Like half tickled, half burning. It's the weirdest thing.
But I've totally forced myself to go on the Superman ride multiple times just so I can get that 10 seconds of beautiful view up top, right before I go to hell for a minute. In fact, it was one of the first things I did when I first started to wear contact lenses.I was never able to see before, since I had to take off my glasses. I'm totally googling local places for tandem skydiving now
