Hi,

Just wanted your opinions on the following diamond specs and if you think the prices are reasonable.
I want to design a ring for myself and picking the center stone is hard. I'm thinking of the halo setting.
Thanks for your help.

If you are going with a halo, get a smaller, higher color stone with great cut. It will still look huge and gorgeous.

the stones you listed are cut too deep and the tables too large for a generic princess cut.
The 3rd one seems the best but without an ASET you just cannot know.

Take a look at these on James Allen. I would go to Goodoldgold and watch some videos on
princess cuts so you will know what you need to look for. You don't have to settle for a smaller diamond
to get a higher color. J's and I's can face up white.

these on JA look very nice and they will do an ASET so you can get an idea of which
have the best light return for a princess cut. A higher color that is cut well will face up whiter
than a lower color that is not cut well.

Here is my FAV...but it is over your budget but nice and faces up larger and “ideal cut”
Note the smaller table 65% which is really nice.

this 2nd one is very nice too

Here is a Solasfera on GOG....note the small table 59% and they are cut really deep too ...that is why
they face up smaller. But they are great performers...you will have to call for the price:

Also there are some radiants that have the same cut pattern
as princess cuts but with the cut corners so you don't have to worry so much about chipping.
Here is an example but it is not square, but a great price for a 2.21c stone and will look very large 7x8 mm

Good luck...be sure to educate yourself before you choose and get ASETS to see how well the stone will return light.

Here is a thread on a 2.5c J color princess cut you might find interesting.
Note the smaller table and that it was well cut and the best most sparkly
white princess that they could find after a long search and she preferred the I and J colors...interesting:

this 2.29 I VS1 is $15,300 but a very nice princess and has about the same measurements and cut %'s as this 2.5c J.

Here is my FAV...but it is over your budget but nice and faces up larger and “ideal cut”
Note the smaller table 65% which is really nice.
